On today’s IGTV episode, we’re giving the scoop on our Last Straw Before finally Cutting Meat out of our diets for good! 🚫🍗🚫 ____
I remember vividly the last time I (Trudy) ate a piece of meat. I could tell in my heart that it would be the last time. It wasn’t this huge revelation—I just realized it wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t worth the heart disease, the high cholesterol, the clogged arteries, the antibiotics that are injected into these animals, the possibility of literally eating cancerous meat and it sure wasn’t worth living in a low-vibrational state for the rest of my life. For Get, he’s hard-headed 😩so he had to have a traumatizing experience 🤣 to finally pull the plug. Whichever kind of learner you are, just know that it’s totally worth it.

"Be a curator of your life. Slowly cut things out until you're only left with what you love, with what's necessary, with what makes you happy" ✨🧡 ... I've started my journey to live by this quote from Leo Babouta, and my new favourite book 'SLOW' has so many lessons on learning to do just that. My Transitions Signature lenses are part of this story because I literally have cupboards full of old glasses, and they're about to be donated to the Salvos. I now only need the one pair of glasses 🙌🏼🤓 They're Prada frames with @essilor Transitions® Signature lenses... prescription + sunglasses all-in-one. They change from clear to my chosen colour of Amber when activated by UV light... clever, beautiful, functional. Tick! ✔️ So, what's next on the list? #simplifyinglife#essilorAU#sp

Now that you have started your crystal obsession...I mean collection (😂), let’s talk about cleansing and clearing your little pretties.
How do I clear my crystals? 🙇🏻♀️ What does that even mean? 🤷🏻♀️ While crystals put off their own energy and vibration, they also pick up energy from those who handle them and their environment. Clearing your crystals acts as a way of resetting them and essentially clears out all of this extra energy your stone has collected. I like to clear my crystals once I get them, and monthly with the full moon. (More on that in a bit). Ways to clear your crystals:
1. Sage. 🍃
One of my favorite methods for energetically cleansing anything, especially my crystals. Smudge a sage stick and allow the smoke to pass over the crystals. Set the intention to clear energy and open space for love and light.
2. Full Moon Light. 🌕
My other favorite method for crystal cleansing. Every month, I like to set my crystals outside to soak up the light of the full moon.
3. Use other stones. 💎
Crystals like selenite and quartz have the ability to cleanse other stones. Simply lay your crystal on a piece of clear quartz or selenite for at least six hours. I like to leave it overnight.
4. Bury it. 🏺
Bury your stone in sea salt or soil and leave it overnight. Be careful not to use the salt method with brittle stones, as the salt can harm them.
5. Use running water. 🚰
As the water runs over your stone, set the intention for the Universe to remove all negative energy. Be sure not to use this method with salt-based stones, as they will dissolve. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Still need to get your collection going? Or wanna add to it? This beginner kit is perfect! 10 stones for $4 each. And a case! I almost kept one for myself. 🙈😆 But there are only 3 of them, so I won’t be selfish. 🤗

You may have noticed in my photos that I wear a bright red string on my wrist. It’s Kabbalah, worn for protection, as it is said to absorb and shield you from the “evil eye” i.e. any negative energy that might come your way. The tradition is to tie the string on your left wrist (the receiving side of the body) seven times sealing intentions with each knot and committing to an abstention from negative thoughts towards others. I am told that the string will fall off when it is no longer needed and should be left behind, as it carries all the negative energy absorbed while it’s been worn.
On Sunday, the last day of mercury retrograde, my second Kabbalah string broke off after only two short months. I was shocked and a bit saddened, but something about it felt right. It felt like a release. And I wanted to get rid of the string, instead of saving it as I had the first. So I took both to the ocean later that day -- said a little prayer and sent them out to sea.
Yesterday, I felt a cold coming on and returned to my apartment from New Jersey, where I holed up to write all day. I've also been struggling with tendinitis and will often feel it flare up when I’m at the computer for long periods. But even after typing for hours, for some reason there was no pain yesterday, which was quite strange. Especially because over the past two months, I’ve diligently followed doctor's orders and have seen no improvement. By evening my wrist was still pain-free, but I wasn't entirely convinced, so I tried all the tests I’d learned in physical therapy. Still no pain. This was indeed a striking change – literally overnight.
I realized I began struggling with tendinitis in my left wrist around the same time that I attached the string. And the person who tied it on me was a friend-turned-love interest, who I’ve not seen since. We left things on not great terms after a super awkward date. Actually, awkward is putting it mildly. He acted like a total dick to me – his behavior was belittling, childish and unsettling. But I never addressed it with him directly.
And I should have...👀💁🏽⬇️
