Italia Hop Golden Ale from @drinkmoorbeer , Bristol 🇬🇧 4.2% ABV
Picked this up during a visit to Moor Vaults on the #beermile, I do like the taproom model of selling good beer, good range, lower costs and good margins for the brewery. What I don't agree with is the pretence to fool some that it is a brewery, no need.
Anyway the Italia Hop as I've come to expect from Moor was a creative take on something normal, give me this any day over the morass of bog standard golden ales, full of fruit, grassy taste and a little bit yeasty/malty
@wildbeerco Bibble Pale Ale + Mosaic + Amarillo
After reviewing the Millionaire Stout a few months back and loving it, I couldn't wait to try this beer by The Wild Beer Co.
I cracked it open and was I soaked as it sprayed all over me. Not a great start, but let's see how it tastes. I started to pour the beer and is again fizzed everywhere as you can see from the picture, just how carbonated does this have to be!
Once settled in the glass, the beer gave off a pungent smell, reminding me off the liquid soap we had in school.
The beer has a bitter and musty taste, I found it really unpleasant. I was longing for a hint of sweetness or maltyness.
The beer had a good colour and as mentioned earlier a head on it, like it had come from Easter Island.
I won't be having this again.
