I have some big news to share!! After careful refection, I have decided to step down from my volunteer role as Country Coordinator for Fashion Revolution here in the US.
It has been an honor to move the movement forward in the States and I am so grateful to @shivampunjya for passing the baton to me, and for @orsoladecastro, @carrysomers and @josswhipple for their faith in me.
It has been an incredible year of progress. We put on the biggest Fashion Revolution Week in the world, hosting 80 events in 20 cities.
We partnered with @themuseumofmodernart, @freetheslaves, @postlandfill, @fibershed_, @thelibrary_eco, @dcsfcollective, @theupcycleproject, @fairtradecertified, and so many more incredible organizations, brands and schools doing amazing things to make and support real, radical change.
We created a growing platform for social media with blog posts and stories about US activists, non-profits and companies that are making a difference. I am proud to say, that those blog posts are often published in Spanish and English, reflecting the multilingual readership here in the US (and just how we published at my old magazine, A-List International). @fash_revusa will continue to grow with the support of the amazing volunteers here in the US dedicated to its mission. Thanks especially to @mackmock, @irenemaimai, @shannnypants, @dedehutch, @ecologiqfashion, @doublefancy, @kgrevers, @amytropolis, @studiovariously, @n.urag and @everconscious.co.
It’s now time for me to focus all of my energy on my nonprofit, @thenewfashioninitiative
As a huge believer in SDG 17, I plan to continue to collaborate & partner with other like-minded nonprofits and organizations to increases our mission’s reach. This includes the wonderful team at @fash_revusa.
We need to all work together and bring about faster changes to how fashion is produced, consumed and disposed of in the US.
Stay tuned for more information coming soon by following @thenewfashioninitiative!!

I’ve been like outwardly loving my pregnancy but inwardly not enjoying my body’s changes. I mean I KNEW stretch marks would come but this was a lot more than I bargained for... I am in constant pain with the Braxton Hicks contractions (my vag literally feels like it’s falling off y’all), my lower back gives out on me at least once a week, my ankles are ALWAYS swollen and tender along with my knees, my belly button burns at times (so odd), and my boobs just grow and do what they want with the day 🙄
Pregnancy took a toll on my confidence. I didn’t post many photos rather less keep any of my solo photo sessions (sorry y’all) because I feel like an ugly whale. I don’t feel like this is my body. I’ve enjoyed bonding with Autumn but not so much embracing the bodily changes that come with pregnancy.
So today, with 10 days left I decided to embrace the blessing that God has given me. There are women who can’t have kids, can’t carry kids, or who are still hoping for kids and here I am carrying a blessing and hiding it because of ignorance 🤦🏽♀️
Cheers to the next 10 days of true smiling, true embracing and moments of enjoying each and every stretch mark that God has given me.

But sometimes, we forget to tie our shoe lace
And end up tripping into it.
Maybe that's why as kids it was always easier for us to wear velcros.
