Looking back on 2017, it’s been both my brightest year and my darkest. I’ve grown a lot, had more love than I know what to do with, and began to find out what truly drives me and makes me most happy. On the other side, 2017 has shown me some of the saddest of days. It has made me question this world we live in and the people who live in it. Being an empath, seeing all of this pain, suffering, and destruction to each other and our planet was overwhelming to say the least. But if 2017 has taught me anything, it’s how damn resilient and strong we can be when united. To all of you who are also feeling overwhelmed, keep pushing, keep feeling, keep loving, and keep remembering how fucking beautiful this life can be.

Rose Gold Lattes! I’ve got a quick and cozy Insta recipe here for you that I’ve been sipping on all week. Rose water is such a nice addition to so many things, and you can usually find it in the baking and spices aisle of supermarkets and specialty stores. Recipe follows!
In a mug, prepare some concentrated hibiscus tea using 1/2 cup of boiling water and 1 tea bag. Allow it to steep for about 5 minutes. Discard the teabag, and set the mug aside.
In a small sauce pan over medium heat, combine 3/4 cup of milk and 2 tsp ground turmeric. Bring to a gentle simmer, and whisk to fully combine. Once the mixture is hot, pour into a blender along with 1 tsp of coconut butter, 1/2 tsp of rose water (or to taste), 1 to 2 tsp agave nectar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Blend on high until frothy, and pour over the tea in the mug. Enjoy. 🥀✨
