Along with weekly treatments of your hydration mask there are a few other at home tips to avoid excess breakage, split ends and dry damaged hair. ⠀⠀
First of all, your hair routine should start with the right shampoo and conditioner. We always suggest going for a salon quality lotion (it is really worth it) Things to avoid are sulphates which are harsh detergents that will strip your colour and harm your hair even more. ⠀⠀
Sodium chloride is another harsh ingredient your hair doesn’t need. Try to go for a natural shampoo and conditioner and ALWAYS read the label! ⠀⠀
Try to avoid heat styling as often as you can. ⠀⠀
We all know that heat styling will cause your hair to become weaker and more prone to breakage, and as you could imagine, it's even worse if you don't use any heat protection. Try using your tools just once or twice a week and definitely get yourself a heat protectant! your strands will thank you for it. ⠀⠀
Blow drying wet hair is a no no! ⠀⠀
Try allowing your hair to air dry for as long as possible before you apply that heat.. ⠀⠀
Keep up those fairy trims!⠀⠀
You should receive a fairy trim at least every 6 weeks to ensure your hair isn't splitting further up the hair shaft.. Make sure your hairdresser understands what a fairy trim is (very minimal) ⠀⠀

Dove has been claiming to be cruelty-free and I think it's important to address what's really going on.
First of all, yes they're on PETA's list of cruelty-free brands, but this does NOT mean they're cruelty-free. They're still selling products in stores in mainland China and they're still subject to the post-market animal testing laws. They've addressed this concern by saying that they've "requested" to be informed if their products need to be tested on animals, so they can pull everything out of China. To the best of my knowledge, this is absolutely not how the animal testing laws work in China, and their products can and would be tested on animals if there was a safety concern. Even if this kind of safety concern is rare, I don't think it's fair to classify a brand that's basically OKAY with animal testing as cruelty-free.
Dove is trying to have the best of both worlds here. They want to sell in the highly profitable Chinese market AND they want to market themselves as cruelty-free in the rest of the world.
As for PETA, something is either going on being the scenes or there's a problem with their cruelty-free criteria because I don't know anyone who would reasonably classify Dove as cruelty-free with the claims that they've made.
Less is more, right? This concept is something I’ve struggled with my whole life but it’s been a work in progress this past year. It really does make my life easier when I apply this to my every day & (traveling) life style. I attempted to travel to California with things that I absolutely need ( needs vs wants ) while still sharing a suitcase. If you were to ask any of my friends, they would be amazed. (lol - yes, I was the girl with the giant suitcase for just an over night sleepover) I don’t understand why my mind feels the need to over pack or bring way more than what I need, it’s really not necessary. Living a sustainable life style in a yurt for 3 days caught me off guard at first, I’m not going to lie. For instance, my struggles were not being able to turn on the AC, not having WiFi to access at my finger tips & literally using the most natural form of a bathroom that you can imagine. When you are in such a beautiful place like the canyons of Malibu, I needed to realize where I was instead of what I wanted to add to my experience (selfish, I know). I needed to see the beauty in where I was and as cliche as this may sound, I needed to “enjoy the little things.” It took me not that long to realize this into my trip but - this trip wasn’t about what I wanted, it’s what I needed. I learned so much about sustainable living (+ the challenges), farming ( + farm to table meals) and enjoying the beauty around me. I really do want you guys to know - Less is MORE & I truly appreciated this most natural experience/getaway. #malibuyurtlife

Fall is here. I'm always on the hunt of hair growth booster, hair oil and any haircare products that can give a serious kick to my hair.
My other half brought me back from India this hair growth gel . So excited to be using it : it smells amazing and it is formulated using Ayurveda principles. I also really like the fact that this is a gel and not an oil.! Stay tuned, coz i will definitely give some feedbacks and report any results ( or not!) I may observe!
Which hair treat are you using at the moment?
Bruised eye- vegan edition. I used the @limecrimemakeup Venus II mustard on the lid, @makeupgeekcosmetics Dirty Martini in the crease, @nablacosmetics Cherie Shape under the lash line and @cozzettebeauty Lip Synergy for Liner and also coated over my mascara.
Lips are @necromancycosmetica Divine Flesh and Naked Witch (affiliate code HAZE for discount) first you like this makeup, there is a tutorial on my YouTube! 🖤🖤
