How do we even pick a favorite from tonight’s engagement session with Liz & David?
We went to the most precious locations and ended our shoot in the middle of the streets where the light was pure perfection! 💗
Always follow your heart... and the best light 😜🥰
This upcoming week... Ahhh!!! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. .
First off... Thanksgiving, one of my favorite holidays. .
To make this week even better I get to see 3 of my closest friends. One lives in MO, one in TX, and the other in Puerto Rico. It just so happens I get to see all of them this week! Now that is a lot to be thankful for. .
So, (needless to say) be ready to see lots of pictures in my stories this week.
John and I are on our way to a mini engagement session, then we’re going to see friends and family for all the early thanksgiving festivities! Any emails + DM’s sent this weekend might get a delayed response, but I’ll be back in touch Monday for all you bride to be’s 😘😘
carrying on with that giving thanks vibe | one of us welcomes family today while the other prepares to leave for home 🖤 forever grateful for a passion that lets us be with family during the holiday season #theperfectpalette#thankful#autumnwedding

I had the honor of photographing Melissa & Nick last week for their anniversary portraits! They were so much fun and I was so happy to do this for them! They just celebrated their 12th dating anniversary and had a fun day date in Dallas at Cidercade, my favorite arcade place, and they later went to dinner to have asian noodles. Yum!
I met Melissa almost 4 years ago at a small photography workshop in Dallas, which feels like yesterday. I can't believe how time flies! I'm so excited for where her business has taken her. She's so talented and has a huge heart for what she does! After numerous ups and downs this year, I'm happy Mel & Nick are doing so well now. Nick was in a bad car accident in June and recently finished physical therapy. Near the end of the session, I asked Nick to run toward Melissa to give her a giant bear hug for a series of pictures. Nick was so excited he was able to do it and they looked so so excited! After that pose, Melissa said with a sigh of relief, and maybe a little tear, "Nick wasn't able to do that before." (Imagine broken bones and not moving much). I loved capturing this moment for them and am so thrilled they're on the uphill climb of this long battle.
