Sneak peek of the Townsend/Bucyk Family!
What a perfect fall day for this family session. I used to work with Stacy within the school district but even before we worked together she knew me when I was a kid because her childhood friend used to babysit me, my brother and sister. Small world!
Originally we were supposed to meet up yesterday but the forecast did not look promising so we pushed it back till today and boy was that the right move. The Danvers Rail Trail was so full of color and mild fall temps. Stacy's mom always loves to drive down 97 and see the fall trees in full color. We were a bit rebellious and after we took photos on the rail trail we headed over to a field (maybe somebody's yard) quickly to get some shots by her favorite view coming down the hill.
The shoot was a gift to Stacy's parents who celebrated 50 years of marriage this past July. 50 years!!! Stacy's dad was a jokester and told me that only the first 49 1/2 years were the hardest and right now it's smooth sailing. Him and his wife both recently retired from the job where they first met. They both worked at a grocery store (now Stop & Shop) and flirted with one another. One night when he was out with his friends and she was out with hers, they ran into each other at the same spot. Mrs. Townsend walked over to Mr. Townsend, sat on his lap and said to him "So, are we going out now or what?" Bold and to the point and clearly his answer was yes ❤️ Happy 50 years to you both! It's always a joy to see two people still laugh and enjoy each others company after so many years. Thank you for sharing your story with me and for letting me witness a happily ever after.
