Three years ago, on our honeymoon, we purchased our first Yeti product, the Hopper 30. During this time, we have used it a lot & many people have asked us “is it worth the money?” Now I’ll tell you...
The day before our anniversary, we were doing our normal grocery run, when the zipper to our Yeti came off of the track! Our first reaction was to freak out, just a little! (We didn’t have our receipt...did we even register this thing?) I instantly called the company, sent an email with pictures explaining what happened & with no hesitation they tell us that our cooler will be replaced with the updated Hopper Two 30, at no cost!
Yesterday, we received our new cooler! I can only say good things about this company, from holding ice for days to their amazing customer service.
Thanks Yeti! 😁
Never got around to taking a picture of Claires pin board she added to the RV last year!
We’ve come across a lot people that end up asking about us and some pronounce Dehner perfectly and others struggle so I figured I’d add a little tidbit to explain.
Dehner (pronounced Day-ner)
German: from a short form of the old personal name Degenher, composed of Old High German degen ‘warrior’, ‘vassal’ + her ‘high’, ‘noble’.” The Dehner’s came from Grosselfingen Germany with just a trunk and a dream. I’d like to think we are carrying on the dream...just with a big mobile trunk this time. “The warriors adrift” .
It’s been two years since we found Pat, our home on wheels!! (Pat, short for patriotic😏) A little backstory:
We have both always had a passion for adventure & travel. As a couple, we started with mini trips, exploring & camping whenever & wherever we could.
I think what really sparked our adventure was our 5,300 mile honeymoon road trip. (Which we did with our jeep & a tent in 11 days.)Who knew not having a plan could turn out so beautifully & why couldn’t we live life this way? It felt so good to be free & take in nature’s beauty. What was stopping us from making this our normal?
For 8 months we pondered on the idea of a simpler life & how wonderful it would be to live a life on the road.
We drove through a travel trailer lot, but didn’t see anything that suited us. The very next day, as we were driving to a gun range, we saw this beaut in a u-sell lot. Thinking this could be it, we decided we would stop on the way back to check it out.
One phone call & a test drive later, we told Richard & Penny we wanted it! Two days later, we drove it home to inform our family of our grand plan! 😁
A lot has changed in two years. We’ve done some remodeling & a never ending amount of reorganizing. As of now, Pat has taken us to 39 states & over 23,000 miles! Some days it feels like we’ve been living this way forever, but we continue learning new things almost daily! There’s one thing we know for sure, every day is a new adventure!
