So for those of you who don't know, I was involved in a hit and run collision in San Juan Capistrano, CA on Thursday night.
At approximately 7:10 pm, M. LaSalle of SJC, was travelling westbound on Camino Las Ramblas and decided it was a good idea to run a long standing red light and "L" bone my vehicle with his 2000 Honda CRV as I crossed north thru the intersection.
Here is the resulting damage. I immediately called 911 and put out a pretty accurate description of the offending party's vehicle even tho I only saw it for a split second. (Pats self on back). LaSalle's father showed up at approximately 7:50 pm, and made a statement to me and the @OCSheriff deputy that it was his son who hit me. He stated that his son called him and admitted all fault. His father told his son to get his ass back there. LaSalle finally returned to the scene of the collision at approximately 8:15 pm.
Turns out M. LaSalle has @MercuryIns. So far, it has been a horrible experience dealing with them. The Mercury Insurance claims rep, Karen Flores, refused to tow my vehicle back to San Diego where I live, so I had to do it on my own utilizing my @AAASoCal roadside service, which in and of itself was a pain in the ass. The 1st driver from Dunivin's towing was unskilled and refused to even attempt to hook my vehicle. Two hours later a second driver from Dunivin's completed the task with ease.
Let's hope the rest of the claims process goes smoothly regarding my fully custom build, otherwise I'm suing everybody until the #MeanGreenFreedomMachine is whole again.
