As I’ve gotten older and as I work to keep building this space for us, I have to protect my energy. It’s so easy for our energy to be impacted by certain things/people so it important that we create boundaries. How do you protect your energy both at work in your personal life? Share below ⬇️
We did it! Another program in the books! Jude woke up a little before 2am, and his crying woke up Anna, so I’m up with these 2 littles at 2am, trying to understand how I have lost control of my life. Ha. But I guess I turned off my alarm in my sleep because I overslept and we BARELY had time to fit in a workout this morning. We were going to skip and finish tomorrow, but I’m glad we finished it today. (Yay for 30 minute workouts!)
There is somethign so satisfying about finishing a program—and this one was so different than the loooonnggg programs we usually do. Only FOUR days a week for 8 weeks…just 32 workouts! It flew by and I’m so thankful to be able to move my body.
Yay for Friday! We will be rolling through these last few months of the year so quickly—I can already feel the pace picking up. Do you have a plan? Do you have accountability? Do you have a strategy to make sure that you don’t gain and may actually LOSE weight during the holidays? If not, let’s talk! You CAN be successful and it would be my honor to walk with you.
Enjoy this last day of summer! Happy Friday, friends! 😎
The State of “BLACK!” +
SELF-Care Is The BEST CARE! Motivational Thought... #repost by @robertfieldslpa "Post traumatic stress/ I wear it like a family crest..." (c) @blackthought Clinicians & researchers of color have talked about & treated this for a minute, really pushing the fact that #ptsd isn't just a "war" mental illness but can be a part of #our#everyday#life depending on our #environment. I hope artists like Black Thought help #open that #discussion more. So important. Many kids (and adults) that I've worked with have experienced so much #neighborhood#trauma but don't realize it because it's every day life. And #clinicians#educators, decision-makers who aren't familiar with it tend to dismiss it & frame the resulting behaviors, outcomes, etc as a deficit on the part of the person rather than the effects of an illness that needs treatment.” #👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾#🖤
@igrannapp from @ronkeposh - SPONSORED: Now I heard a child left from Primary 4 to secondary school.
We really need to give it a break.
No matter how smart we think these kids are, we need to allow them to be children and to also enjoy learning.
The issue here us not renaming conventions like reception, pre primary, kindergarten, pre-nursery etc BUT the age.
Parents please listen when school tell you these things. Learning is not only cognitive.
We are creating more of a problem is a troubled society. Think of the larger picture.
