#fbf On this day 5 years ago, Matthew proposed on the same day I saw Bernadette Peters. The funny thing is - that is the part I remember the least it was such a special day! Rewind a few months earlier, I begged Matthew to buy me tickets for her show at #CityCenter Ironically or coindicentally, the day I wanted to see the show, Matthew already planned the proposal for that day! So we headed into the city with plans to see the new @hyattcentrictsq Hyatt Times Sq. Hotel rooftop that hadn't opened yet. We stopped in Bryant Park where he got down on one knee on a muddy ground. This is where we had our first date in NYC. We then went to dinner at @danielboulud's @restaurantdaniel told Matt for years when we got engaged we had to eat there ( just ask me why....). And you know you have to make a res exactly 1 month in advance. After dinner, we went to the show! I wasn't even mad we didn't go backstage afterwards to see her! And of course cupcakes were involved..

Dofu Hua which translates to Tofu Flower. Our dessert that we were inspired to use flowers to keep the idea that a flower is delicate, soft, and powerful in its beauty. Besides being conveniently located next to Whole Foods, they have the farm to table concept done right...not to mention a fantastic selection of local beer, wine and interesting cocktails. Just look at this cast iron dish of roasted vegetables. How fun is that?
The restaurant can get busy so why not dine at the bar? It’s comfy and you are closer to your companion as well as the tasty beverages.

This rabbit Terrine is exactly why I love Russo and Russo. Not exactly what you were expecting but awesome nonetheless. The rabbit hidden under greens and served on cracker that’s so crisp the roof of your mouth will consider filing a restraining order against it. Really digging the peppery rocket against the agrodolce vibe of the onions. Some of the best modern Italian in Sydney that’s for sure.
Did you know @homcharleston just revamped their burgers as well as their Happy Hour menu!? You can get your choice of a slider, hot dog or burger dog plus a side or fries for $5 from 4-6pm 🙌🏻 We ordered one of each, because why not and while everything was super delicious, we absolutely loved the new burger dog!
