We work at the same desk. Earlier this year, we had a local maker create a super long, dark wood desktop for our office space. We grew up in Chaska area and the wood ended up being sourced from an old barn in Carver which was so special (and coincidental) to us! Now, we can work right next to each other so any time we want to run something by the other person, we can just turn to our side and create a game plan together. But it also means that Tia's dance moves sometimes get too distracting to Cam. We guess that's just the perks of working with your hubby or wife, right?
the beauty of the world still amazes me and for moments like this, where all the stars align, is the reason I am so happy doing what I love. Kate+Yadder, thank you for being you, for loving so passionately, for cramming in the 2 door Camaro and showing me the beauty of Taco Time. So blessed to meet people like you along this journey.
Okay so confession: there’s no denying my photos tend to be darker and moodier, but I don’t think I want to define my work as “moody”. It’s starting to frustrate me, & put me in a box creatively. Not every wedding or session I gives me those moody vibes, because every wedding and couple is different. Some are cheerful and others are intimate, and I want to edit accordingly. Maybe a better word would be alternative or artistic. I don’t know guys I’m thinkin’ out loud right now. Rant over.
One of my favorite place to shoot at. A blank canvas with so much potential for creativity. Plus, it really speaks to my minimalism-seeking heart. ♡

I wanted to showcase the vendors and some of the incredible decor done by @vintage.origami.weddings for the intimate, warm, and romantic wedding of @michg2 and David. It was such a beautiful wedding from start to finish, full of the most incredible human beings I’ve ever met. The second I walked through the door to take photos I felt all the love pour in to me, and I am so proud of every photograph I took and having worked with such incredible people such as @alexbirdmusic and @inspiradodesigns and seeing the delicious desserts by @kakesbykathie and flowers by @crocusfloraldesign. @yuriko_larson is a genius - look at what she created and how she brought Michelle’s vision to life. I’ve honestly never seen a bride and groom smile as much as Michelle and Dave did. All of these incredible vendors made magic happen, so here’s to YOU ❤️
