Everyday I try to reinforce this message with my students, with my kids, with myself. .
When you do your best, that is all anyone should ever ask of you. .
In my classes, we talk about the fact that what one student’s best is different than another’s. But that I will push each of them to be whatever that best is for each individual.
For my own kids, they know we expect nothing less than their best and will accept nothing less. We have high expectations for them because we know they are capable of achieving them.
In our real estate business, Dad and I have long discussed that we don’t want to be the best agents in sales, but we absolutely want to be the best agents in service because quality service is what matters most to us!
We’re speechless...We got to pick up these absolutely incredible and original pieces of art for the lodge from the insanely talented @whitneyeoff - go check out more of her work at whitneyeoff.com
As soon as the rain 🌧 eased up a bit this morning, I was gone #arnósnagaoithe. I had a long session on the agenda and REALLY did not want to do it on the treadmill! 🤪.
3x2miles @ 6.23
With 3mins walk recoveries.
6x200m @ 41
200m jog recoveries. .
I was dreading the length of this session, (it included 3miles #warmup and 2 #cooldown 🤯 !). No way I could face all those laps on the track, so I used a local, quiet, flattish section of road instead. I knew the .2 and .25mile splits I needed to hit and gave myself a #jumpstart by starting on a kinda #downhill piece.
The first 2mile rep felt sooooo long 😢 and I really doubted my ability to get through 2 more. Luckily the 2nd felt great, and I recovered well, so spurred it me on for the last one.
After having to focus for so long on those, the 200m were a piece of 🍰 🤣, except I had to walk the recoveries rather than jog!
Man I earned my lunch today :
➡️6.18, 6.21 (cue #heavybreathing )
➡️ Average 6.17/mile 😱.
200s were 39, 40, 43, 39, 40, 40.
Thrilled with the duration and quality ✔, definitely a confidence booster for a 'mere' #6k#crosscountry 🤣🤣.
👉One of the things that I was reminded of during our training in Austin was the important of perseverance and its importance in our business.👈 🙌I teach and challenge my students to persevere each and every day, but it is not always something I carry over into our business.🙌 I feel like many times I give up because I don’t want to bother people or they aren’t ready. However, I think don’t persevere in following up with them and when I do finally check back, another Realtor has helped them buy a 🏡. 💪I want to be that person who is there to help them with that major life step! So I’m making plans for 2019 (that is insane to say!) to put better systems in place so that we can better serve our clients whenever they are ready!💪 #keepknocking#perseverance#goalcrusher
