This mountain has taught me a lot without realizing it till now. A few months ago i was back here... well half way down the mountain. There was almost nobody on the trail and the few that i saw said that we had a long way to go still. The trail was treacherous and my legs were already turning to jello. So i listened to everyone around me and turned back. Today there were at least 75 people on the trail and some were still saying the same thing. Even the park rangers told me i might not have time to make it all the way to the summit. I didnt make the same mistake as last time. I ignored them all and went on ahead. I made it to the summit in an hour and a half when last time i was at the halfway point by that time. The moral of the story is Don't let anyone tell you that you cannot finish or accomplish something. When people tell you that, look them in the eyes and fuel your fire to prove them wrong. And if you don't succeed at first, keep picking yourself up until you do. Happy National "Take a Hike Day" everyone.
