Nothing nicer than to have a friend open their door and invite you to come in. I love the old farm house where my friend @tbmills resides...the home she declares belongs to the Lord and is hers to share. Such a sweet spirit dwells there...in my friend and in that place. As long as I can remember I have tried my absolute best to be a friend to people, when the Bible says you reap what you sow I believe it to be true because I have so many friends who are so kind to me and so dear to my heart. I surely hope I am just as much to them as they are to me. #friends#conversation#door#farmhouse
And this maple pumpkin pie did just that! I’ve been practicing my pie making lately because I’m getting to, for the FIRST TIME EVER, make a whole holiday feast, ok it won’t be a feast because I only have like 8 people to cook for! 🤣 But regardless of the size, we are so excited because we have never stayed home, our holidays usually consist of waking up around 6:30 and getting ready and being gone all day to multiple parties and cities. It was a lot of fun when it was just the two of us and sometimes we did 4 parties in one day! 4! But now with kids it’s harder, a lot harder. Plus we just want to create our own traditions and be able to have our kids wake up, stay in their jammies and maybe watch a parade! I literally have not watched a holiday parade since I was in high school! I have this image of being in my cute anthropology apron all day just cooking away in the kitchen! For me that is a lifelong dream. Food for me is a love language and being able to make someone something and them love it is everything to me. I get that from my Mom. Growing up if you came to the house my Mom would ask you if you wanted something to eat or drink and finally I’d say just say yes because she’ll just keep asking. My Mom would bake hundreds of cookies for my dad’s co-workers for Christmas. Her appetizers at a party could be an entire meal. She’s amazing. And I learned so much about entertaining and etiquette from her. I mean the woman runs out of her house when she see’s the mailman on a hot day and gives him a popsicle and water, and guess what I do now too?? 🤷🏼♀️🤣 The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Anyways, I want to know what is your favorite holiday dessert?! I LOVE new recipes!!
I am super excited to be working with Nichole @ginghamgirlscandleco ! Not only is she one of the sweetest people I have met here on IG, but she creates the most beautiful and deliciously scented candles! Yesterday I burned “Autumn’s Apple” and it left my entire house smelling so scrumptious that I ended up going out on the hunt for apple cider and apple donuts ❤️😂

Last night I hosted a fun girls night @arworkshopmillcreek . Have you ever been to one? You don’t need to be crafty to create something worthy of Martha Stewart. Even my non craftiest friends made the most gorgeous signs, boxes, trays, and lazy Suzan’s!
I find this time of year as the weather cools off, I just want to hibernate in my house. But keeping friendships alive is so important. If you’ve never been to an AR Workshop, look one up in your area, it was a blast!
