I see all of the people staying out of the bullshit and working on themselves. They’re always low key about stuff and don’t try to make a fuss. They don’t overtly brag or represent themselves as perfect. They just are.
They do things only for themselves and what would be better for them only. They don’t push or make people feel that they’re incomplete because they’re not looking at anyone but what they need to do. I love people like that, and I know who you are staying real❤️ ❤️I appreciate everyone who has only seen me the way I am and not what their egos wanted me to be. They’re happy when I’m happy. They don’t compare, or put down, they just keep going. We all keep going. WE WILL BE ON TOP! ❤️Those are the wolves of the world. That’s my wolf pack even if I’m not always around, I hear your howls 🌕❤️🐺 _________________________
Happy Birthday to one of my all-time faves, 'Da Pope' Elijah Burke!
Burke is a former Correctional Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in Florida and former amateur boxer with an amazing record of 103-1 (102 knockouts). It is said the one loss only came after Burke knocked out his opponent but refused to back away to his corner.
Burke signed with WWE and was moved to WWE developmental Ohio Valley Wrestling where he was a one-time OVW Heavyweight Champion. Burke was offered a spot in the original Spirit Squad, but refused. He was eventually paired with former MMA fighter, Slyvester Terkay and put on Smackdown in 2006.
Terkay was eventually released by WWE in 2007 and Burke would find himself in a story on WWE's new ECW he was named as the "future of ECW" by Vince McMahon, and with Matt Striker, Marcus Cor Von and Kevin Thorn as The New Breed would feud with original ECW stars, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu and Rob Van Dam and eventually lose the ultimate match at WrestleMania 23.
June 19 2007, Burke would face Chris Benoit in what would be Benoit's final match. Burke had feuds with CM Punk, Batista and formed a short lived alliance with Shelton Benjamin before being released by WWE in November 2008.
Burke worked the Indy scene before joining TNA in 2009. He was now known as D'Angelo Dinero. Dinero feuded with the likes of Kurt Angle, Mr. Anderson, AJ Styles & Fortune and Samoa Joe, but would never be able to capture any TNA gold despite various opportunities. Dinero left TNA in January 2013.
He returned to an independent OVW
where he captrued the OVW TV and OVW Tag Team Championships making him the 16th OVW Triple Crown Champion.
In 2015 returned to TNA (now Impact Wrestling) as a colour commentator. After a 2 year stint, Dinero would announce his departure from, now, Global Force Wrestling.
Pope returned to the Indies and became the first ever Baltimore Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion and is the current Fighting Evolution Wrestling Tag Team Champion with JB Cool.
