This is a very little known indie flick, that deserves its place in the spotlight.
Sean Biggerstaff, of Harry Potter fame, plays a young man who faces a break up, and the result it has on his mental health.
He develops insomnia due to the heartache, and thus begins to imagine he can stop time. And thus uses the extra hours to work during night shift at a supermarket.
While it sounds bizarre, it is superb in every way. It manages to make an impossible concept very human, and shows the mind at its most raw.
There is plenty of nudity, but this isn't to fulfil every teenage boy's fantasy and exploit the sexualised ideas they hold.
It is done to appreciate and respect the female form, how every curve and imperfection makes the girl unique and beautiful in her own way.
It is a simple and low budget masterpiece, in essence.
Flashback Friday: It’s not a tumor!! I loved Kindergarten Cop growing up, watching it again yesterday was still quite an enjoyable experience. This movie is quite entertaining and Arnold Schwarzenegger actually works quite well in the lead role as John Kimble, a detective undercover as a teacher in pursuit of a woman to help keep a longtime kingpin he’s been chasing behind bars. While Arnold delivers as Kimble, the children around him keep him going as do the supporting players: Penelope Ann Miller, Pamela Reed, and Linda Hunt. #KindergartenCop#1990#arnoldschwarzenegger#movie#film#comedy#igers#igdaily#igfilm#igmovie#tomrobonfilm2018#365project
