I can’t believe it’s about to be an ENTIRE YEAR since my good friend @kcochran89 had her beautiful baby Kennedy. I felt honored she chose the newborn onesie I had knitted for sweet baby K to wear for her one-month photo. Isn’t it adorable?! Almost as cute as the baby wearing it. I had so much fun knitting up the onesie that I’m working on coming up with a new pattern. Who else enjoys knitting baby pieces?
Knit Newborn Pattern: #tiriltungenewbornonesie
Yarn: woollike yarn by #loopsandthreadsyarn
I'm officially swearing off knitting garments. It takes way too long. Specifically in fingering weight yarn. I only mean adult garments, i'll probably still do child's clothes since they are much smaller. Well, there are some other sweaters I want to make myself, but definitely not until after Christmas. I guess what i'm saying is, THIS CARDIGAN IS TAKING FOREVER.
So I am making a cowl out of my Dreamer Roving and it is such a delight 😍 one of my future goals is to not only sell my yarn but to sell my work too when I move to Cali. A lot of the times I make stuff and I never wear them, just gave me something to do.
But I'm also terrified 'cause I never really sold anything like that. Speaking of Cali, I am heading there now, aka driving, with my fiancé, across the country. So I'll be out of town for for a couple of days and returning back home via plane. I will be also doing pre orders for the new colors starting tomorrow, however, I will be making it where it is available for one day and one day only. Thank you all to those who came to the Frederick Fiber Festival, next month is the MD alpaca and fleece Festival.
Free pattern and copyright info. I know most don’t read the copyright info on patterns...you already pretty much know what it says! (And you’re honest). They are worth a read though because some are a smitch different! Mine reads “It is permissible for the purchaser to create the designs contained herein and sell them at fairs, bazaars, and craft shows.” So, if it’s a free pattern (or purchased) make it as a gift, make a couple to sell, knit and use for charity... This pattern is Summer Petals Stole (free in my Ravelry shop). The sample is knit with @handmaidencanada Sea Silk, fingering yarn.
