Today we look back at the esteemed career of retired Fire Engineer Angela Green, the first African-American woman to earn the rank of Engineer in the Charleston Fire Department. She served the City of Charleston from September 1998 – November 2006.
Angie started as a firefighter in 1998, promoted to Assistant Engineer in February 2003 at Engine 116, and later promoted to engineer at Engine 109 in September 2004.
