Hey everyone my European name is Leslie Taylor, my nuuchahnulth name is Usma.
I come from a large family with 7 younger siblings (6 brothers & 1 sister.) As an indigenous woman and person I know we all live with the trauma our ancestors went through during and after first contact- whether we are aware of it or not, and to varying degrees, it affects each one of us.
I’m learning my culture and learning to love my identity more each day.
I have my 500 hr teacher certification and each offering of mine has a trauma sensitive approach.
Happy healing 🙂
#NativeAmericanHeritageMonth BORN TO BE DIFFERENT 🎇 (where my name comes from 👇🏽⬇️)
Hud is short for Hadebah (hUd-EE-bUh) my Caddo (tribe) name and means “Someone You Look Up To”. My great grandmother gave me the name when I was born and my mom had me go by it all through out schooling. I used to be so insecure about it and always hated when there was a substitute teacher cause they would butcher tf out of it🤦🏽♂️... Eventually one little league coach shortened it to just Hud. Imagine yelling “Good play Hadebah” “You do everything right Hadebah” “Nice 360 dunk Hadebah” throughout a whole game🙃... It gets a little tough. Now I freaking love my name and how unique it is.
If I told you it was short for Hudson we were probably in a place where I didn’t want to go into the whole story 🤷🏽♂️
flow to arm ratio 💯 💪🏽

Blessed day my brothers and sisters.❤️
I'm Grace, also a mentor for those that wish to learn more about walking the Red Road. I practice Earth Medicine, build a lot of Medicine Wheels (This is the Dragon Wheel of Seraphine) and work with many peoples/beings, most of which are not human.❤️
This journey on IG has been more than I could have ever hoped for. I want to thank all of you for the support you have provided over these last 6 months.❤️
In regards to the, "Red Road" series, I feel so blessed and honored to be a part of something so magnificent. The connections forming between and among this little group of people, is the start of something so much bigger. The Creator has truly blessed us and this situation, so let us be humbly grateful.❤️
Have a beautiful, blessed weekend. I am honored to know all of you and share with you in the circle of life. A'ho, Mitakuye Oyasin ❤️

This is what the First Nations has done to Round Lake thousands of dead fish this summer due to lack of oxygen from low water levels as they hold out on the Feds over the dam. This has been going on for 15yrs. Watch for more to follow. This is DISGUSTING. #firstnationspeople#feds#fish#bloodydisgusting
