It’s pretty cool when other people believe it what I’m doing. And then even cooler when that support gets spread all over the city. Shopping small has major positive ripples. Also, what a cool hostess gift! Spa bundles for the shower? Always. 📷: @andersshop
Today was a happy day. Busy, exhausting, not romantic in the slightest... but then again, maybe the most romantic is seeing @ryan_scott_johnson give every last fiber of what he has in order to support me; to encourage me; to be my person. So actually, it was extremely real today. And everyday. And that might be the most romantic of narratives out there. 📷: @ashrod
VALENTINE FLOWER ANNOUNCEMENT!! Our pop-up shop will be on for a third year in a row on the 14th at SLU @wework. Stop by for a hug and some flowers and hang with me, @annieandydre @moveoverdarlings and @bonbonstyles. Plus, @snohomishpieco will be there selling pies! (It’s one of my favorite working days of the year!) 📷: @bonbonstyles
A little bit of front door jewelry just on the cusp of spring. Why not have year round wreaths? Especially when you can get such beautiful dried flowers from @charleslittleandco and the @seattlewholesalegrowersmarket. 💛
Head to @andersshop to snag some fresh and intentionally effortless flowers in all the perfect vessels from @beanpole_pottery. And plan to stay for a while because I’m certain you will want to. That shop is 👌 and the people who run it... oh my gosh. Just meet them. Go. Do it. 📷: @andersshop
A gorgeous bergenia in my parents’ garden today. Startling in its green centre with limelight-stealing anthers and ballerina pink petals. It was hiding in complete shade behind a large fastigiate yew as I popped into their garden to pick a bunch for the kitchen table. Lovely in a little jug with snowdrops and a surprisingly in leaf Himalayan honeysuckle (where does it think it is..the Himalayas?). Their garden is still throwing up surprises after two years. This is what gardens do and proof that you need to be patient before digging everything up and ushering in a new era🧞♀️ #gardenmagic#surprises#Spring#bergenia#plantsforshade#flowersforthetable#mymum#anthers#ballerinapink#patience#appreciatethelittlethings
Large & low arrangement of #flowersforsthetable from last weekend @theoaklondon
Love creating designs for dinner parties at this #nottinghill venue. And my client loved the mixed colour palate, bright green popping against the raspberry pinks.
Last week I got to work hand in hand with some of my most admired design and creative people. The combination of our work blended to compose art. A kind of “caught in the act of living” art... my favorite. It’s an honor to be joined up with such a talented tribe and see the magic when we work together. Thank you @katiehackworth. I’m excited about how you’re made, the heart you share, and the beauty you bring into peoples’ lives. 📷: @katiehackworth
And now for this week’s #feedyourfeed, meet Clara Kim of @euniandco. While we have yet to meet in person, I already know by her portfolio that this woman is deep, talented, and intriguing. Her taste is impeccable and her skill with graphic design spills out consistently in all of her work. I’m excited for you all to start following her and seeing the kind of beauty she creates for our world. 📷: @meghanklein
Working on creating quiet moments in the home is an easy task once you step into @andersshop. She has that blend of special necessities and perfect luxuries and guides you honestly with each purchase. And every couple weeks, you can even pick up flowers from yours truly. 📷: @andersshop
I’ve been really convicted lately of using IG as a way to introduce the people who follow me to the people I admire and respect in their work. And so, here we are with my first #feedyourfeed feature... friends, meet one of the best floral designers in Seattle @botanique_flowers_seattle. Kelly is talented, humble, and sweet. She grows many of her own flowers and works them in like cherries on the top of an already sublime dessert. I am always inspired by her work and love to refer people to her when the calendar is full over here. If you’re wanting more thoughtful and beautiful people to follow and adore, Follow her. Do it. You won’t be sorry. 📷: @kerryjeannephoto
White and green are one of my favorite color combinations. Maybe it’s because of a basic human attraction to green growing things, and white makes every other color stand out more. Maybe it’s because my beloved Nana and Pop built and lived for over 50 years in a white house with green shutters. What’s your favorite color combination?
It seems that January is eucalyptus month at @andersshop. Stop by the to see this week’s full collection of wall hangings, art pieces, spa bundles and more. It’s the perfect place for thoughtful Happy I Love You Day treats and hostess gifts. And also, not bad to pick up something for yourself... an easy way to implement the at home spa experience. 📷: @andersshop #dsfloral#andersshop#minimalisthostessgift
Each one of these seats represents a story. These are not place settings, created solely to make something pretty. They exist to honor and serve and celebrate the life that fills them. As I was placing the flowers and decor this morning for @designanddigest‘s #gatherseattle event, I was wondering at the stories that would join the table and the conversations both food and ambiance would facilitate. Stories intersecting. Stories being told. Stories connecting. What I’m learning is this: design and art are not just a great form of expression, they are powerful generators: igniters. And food. Ah food... the breaker of all barriers. What a beautiful gift is food. So thankful for the day and happy to enjoy it at a deeper level over noteworthy food from @logandcox with @cannellevanille, @virginiaroberts, @briandavidroberts, and @dmotif. #seattlemakers#gatevalve
Hoping to do some justice to the @gatherseattle anniversary lunch tomorrow. Just to be there is an honor... but to be responsible for the tables... an honor that has me shaking in my boots. At least a little bit. Can’t wait to hear from some powerhouse women. Congratulations on the anniversary @designanddigest ❤️
