Don't know how we managed that climb in 50 million degrees heat, but we did it. It actually is only about a 15 minute walk (if even) but it's still quite tough. Koh Nangjuan island is about 10 minutes in a taxi boat from the main land, and costs about €8 return. Be warned, although it is very beautiful and well worth seeing, every other tourist in Thailand has the same idea so be prepared for lots of people in this small space. We had to que for about 10 mins just to take this pic.. lol.. 💗🏝🌊
Agenda for the evening when you stay in this bubble capsule with @tinggly . Dine in a rustic log cabin. Soak in an outdoor jacuzzi in the woods. Use the telescope outside your abode to try and spot the planets. Fall asleep in a toasty warm bed, whilst staring above at the stars through the ceiling of the bubble. If you're a 'moments over materials' kind of person like I am, this one's for you. The complete magical experience is up on the blog now. (Link in profile) #invite
The final product in its glory with its distinct bright yellow colour .. Keedajadi , caterpillar fungus or Yarcha-gumba (summer grass winter bug) is an entomopathogenic fungus (a fungus that grows on insects) Its mainly found in the meadows above 3,500 meters (11,483 feet) in the Himalayan regions of India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. It parasitizes larvae of ghost moths and produces a fruiting body which used and valued as a herbal remedy.
It is believed O. sinensis parasitizes the larvae of moths within the family Hepialidae, specifically genera found on the Tibetan Plateau and in the Himalayas, between elevations of 3000 m and 5000 m. The fungus germinates in the living larva, kills and mummifies it, and then a dark brown stalk-like fruiting body which is a few centimeters long emerges from the corpse and stands upright.
Images are taken at Tola village of Johar Valley which is located in upper Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, India, along the Gori Ganga river. The valley used to be a major trade route with Tibet , this is part of a travelogue I was doing in the region

When I first met @jedcairo, almost 5 years ago, I was toying with the idea of abandoning NYC to eat, pray, love my way through Bali. Plans changed but my intuition around the magical allure of Bali remained. So happy to have finally gotten a chance to explore this enchanting island 💫
