Taco Tuesday 🙌🏼🌮 // I whipped up some tacos for tonight’s dinner. 3 types included tequila lime & garlic marinated shrimp with avocado, feta, crispy kale and cilantro, shredded chicken with casamiento (black beans and rice), avocado, jalapeño cheddar, cilantro, fresh lime juice, crispy kale, and my grandmas home made salsa, and last but not least a chicken mole with sautéed onion, crema, and crispy kale, all on warm corn tortillas. We’re so full, and so satisfied 😍 // #thehungrycoupleyvr#tacotuesday
INFUSED PULLED PORK SANDWICH 😍 Had some super old wax so I figured I would put it in tonight's dinner. Just a little 150mg butter poured on the top was all I needed to medicate my dinner. Thinking about making a line of infused oils/butters so you guys can medicate almost anything at home, yes?
Farmer's market stir fry: lazy day classic! So fortunte even quick meals can still be packed w/ color & flavor. This mix: carrot, red cabbage, wild kale, asparagus, onion, garlic, & coconut aminos! #yayforearth
I could hear the cry coming from the kitchen, that intense, devastating cry. My heart started pounding, as the adrenaline began flowing I went into mom rescue mode and ran into the kitchen as fast as I could. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt? What happened?” I scan the situation as quickly as I can trying to determine what the problem is as Graham is still crying so hard I can’t make out what he is saying. No blood, nothing’s broken, I’m surprised to see Jaden looking genuinely innocent, hmmm, what is going on? Finally, through broken, gasps for air I make out what Graham has been trying to tell me, “Jaden ate the last Greek meatballs!”
I didn’t know whether to laugh or be upset. But truth be told, Graham, unlike his brother Jaden, is a total foodie. This kid lives to eat. He loves just about everything we put in front of him, and starts asking for seconds before I have even taken my first bite. And if I am being honest there have been many times that I wanted to have a similar tantrum when I opened the fridge to find the food I had been craving, been waiting all day to savor and eat, had already been devoured by my boys.
