We have some volunteer #asparagus that grows along our fence line. But when it grows 6 inches a day sometimes you miss your chance! If you look closely you can see two big stalks in the foreground and one small still edible one in the back. This has been a pretty rough start to the growing season. We had a bunch of late frosts and despite going out every night with a headlamp and covering the plants the rose gold potatoes sustained some heavy frost damage. Also something came through and rooted in one of my containers destroying more than half of my Parisian market carrots - a new crop I was really excited for this year. BUT the seedlings are doing their last day of hardening off, we’ll FINALLY plant tomorrow, and everything seems to be off to an okay - if very late - start.
