Hello, nice to meet you!
Meeting Buttercup at the @runningreindeerranch in Fairbanks recently was definitely a memorable experience. She was the cutest + loves attention. @explorefairbanks @travelalaska #ExploreFairbanks#AuroraSeason 📸 @joelschat
Perfecting that windswept look one windy day at a time 😂😘My time on Naxos was a short one in Greece - only a few days - but I managed to go up to the Portara a couple times while I was in town. If you’re wondering what the Portara is, it’s that ancient door lurking behind me. There was meant to be a grand temple attached to it (either for Apollo or Dionysus). It started being built in the 500s BC (!!), but when war broke out between Naxos and Samos, construction was abandoned and eventually left to ruins. At least everything except for that door, because clearly whoever designed it had fantastic structural engineering prowess. It’s a great place to watch the sunset in Naxos with the rest of the town (and tourists), and an interesting look into the past and what could’ve been. Of course, I loved it. 🇬🇷 // #theatlasheart#naxos#portara

EN/RU🔸Some things are just meant to be. We weren’t able to find the homestay we were going to stay in in Hoi An, because the address was incorrect (which is quite usual for Vietnam, so be careful) and none of the people living in that area have heard anything of it 🤷🏻♀️ So, after wasting an hour we checked in to a nice small hotel with a view to rice terraces. We didn’t book in advance, just wanted to spend a night and then prolong if everything was good. We really liked the place, but in the morning the host told us that the place is booked and we can spend there only one more night 🤦🏻♀️ First, we got sad we had to search for a new place, get packed again and everything. But the homestay we ended up in was so perfect, we never regret things happened that way! Run by a local English teacher named Phuong and his wonderful family, it had great facilities and 5 stars hotel service. But the best thing about this place is the people - they made you feel so welcomed, like if you were a niece who came to visit. The English classes take place within the premises, which is a genius idea, since the students have a chance to meet tourists and practice with them. I was invited to one of the classes to speak with the students which was a very fun experience 👩🏫 ⠀
Posting this picture in honor of Sudan, the last male northern white rhino who passed away today in Kenya. Rhinos are my favorite animal and I’ve collected all sorts of rhino knickknacks since I was in high school. I’ve always wanted to visit one of the rhino conservation facilities in Kenya or South Africa....will have to start putting that plan in action! RIP Sudan. #theressomuchtosee
Day 78: standing in front of naturally occurring broccoli soup 🤣 want to know what it is? Watch the latest adventureViV episode [LINK IN BIO].
#adventureviv travel tip: Research how much accommodation will cost at your desired destination, before booking those flights! You’d be surprised at how much $40 would get you in... SE Asia (boutique hotel for two including breakfast) vs New Zealand (campsite with not-so-good WiFi).

happy first day of spring! 🌺☀️ so excited to (hopefully) get some sunshine and get away from this cold and rainy weather in Galicia 😅...but even more exciting is what comes with a new season: different places to explore and new ways to grow. This year for spring break I am going to take a much needed detox and time to disconnect; my version of spring cleaning. If the weather gets better, I plan on making small day trips that will include quality time with my journal and large cups of joe. BUT I know many of you will be traveling so let me know below in the comments what your plans for spring break are! ✨👇🏻 here are a few throwbacks from Mallorca 🌸
