"I am burning with jealousy for her." 8:2
This her is Zion. It is His people. It is YOU!
"This is what the Lord says: 'I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain." 8:3
He saves us and makes us a blessing. 8:13 He tells us, "do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong." He says many times: Do not be afraid.
He also tells us to speak the truth to each other and render true and sound judgement in court. To also not plot evil or love to swear falsely. 8:16
Maybe your struggling wth the plan and you want to stop hoping, but get this:
"Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you." 9:12
EVEN NOW - whatever you are facing. Even now He has plans to restore and redeem you.
As the song Control goes,
"I've had plans
Shattered and broken
Things I have hoped in
Fall through my hands
You have plans
To redeem and restore me
You're behind and before me
Oh, help me believe.
God You don't need me
But somehow You want me
Oh, how You love me
Somehow that frees me
To take my hands off of my life
And the way it should go."
Oh help me believe.
Pray this openly right now and trust in His plans to restore this time.
Behind the scenes on a video project I’ve had the joy of working on! Swipe right for the teaser🤗 the full thing launches Monday!
Every night this week I stayed up until 2 or 3 am, but that’s nothing compared to my sweet friend @shipleyle who’s literally going to start running her first marathon in a few minutes in South Africa. For both of us, it’s an honor to use the skills, talents and resources to advocate for such incredible people.
Our goal is to raise $26k in 48 hours because we believe in these artisans and their communities. Handouts create dependency. Skills training and job creation dignify + empower people to lift themselves + their families our of poverty.
When you think Africa we want you to think of the world’s top fashion designers, entrepreneurs, wellness instructors and tech gurus. Rewrite the story with us. Visit the link in my bio to donate.
TRUTH BOMB: 🌿
“Our Savior- Jesus- has already been put to death for the sins of fathers, mothers, and children, alike. So if we confess our sins to Him, He will be faithful to forgive us. We don’t need to blame our parents for our sin, because the blame has already been put on Jesus on the CROSS.”
I needed to hear this more than words can describe.
One day I’ll write a blog post on community, or maybe I won’t. Who knows, life is sort of unpredictable these days. But in the mean time, here’s three really amazing women who play huge roles in my life and make me a better women through their correction and their unconditional love. And shout out to @blondebomb for gifting me this entire weekend. There’s no picture to prove anything, but my heart is so grateful. Ladies, go love your tribe! ✨
Sometimes we overlook the simple things in life and don't realize the importance they play in preparing us for what's to come. What you do now to invest in yourself can pay great dividends whether that's next week, next month, or next year.
Whether it's our physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual health, we may put things off thinking we'll get to it "one day when." How's that working out though?
Those are all important areas to consider, and even the small changes can make a difference. Don't think it's too insignificant to matter.
You never know what opportunities may await you, so now is a great time to create the foundation needed to be ready AND to sustain what's entrusted to you.
What's one habit you can start (or restart) to start seeing even small wins now? 💁🏾♀️

Kami memanggil generasi
Menjawab panggilan ilahi
Memberi diri 'tuk mengabdi
Tanggalkan beban yang halangi
Dimanapun kau ditetapkan
Bersinar dan jadilah terang
Kita diutus bagi dunia
Membawa terangnya yang ajaib
Untuk menghalau kuasa gelap
Memindahkan jiwa ke terang
Dimanapun kau ditetapkan
Bersinar dan jadilah terang
We will shine arise
Like a star above
All glory and honour
Be unto Your name
There is no other name
Let all the earth declare your name
Rise up the streets from dead to life
We'll shine with your glory
Our live will show mercy
There is no other name

“Point people to Jesus by LOVING people like Jesus.” - My Church’s mission statement.
A statement that has held true from the moment i stepped through these doors.
I am well loved here, and it was not something i sought after. Initially, i looked for refuge from the chaos of managing four little ones between the ages of 2-7 while my husband was out to sea. I was looking for peace, quiet and adult conversation. But what i received was so much more.
The Lord had been pursuing me, and amongst His gentle, loving servants that cared for my littles while i snuck an hour to listen to His Word every Sunday, i found Him. I found Him through the LOVE that was poured into me from the other moms in my moms group. I found Him as i read through the pages of my bible during weekly bible studies. I found Him in the testimonies i heard during small groups. I found Him as i witnessed the church body pour love into our community through various ministries that loved on the homeless, the sick, the young, the old, those hurting from addiction and divorce, natural disasters and local turmoil.
I found Him through LOVE.
Love is the plan.
Love has always been the plan.
I am FOR God’s plan.
And today I made that outward expression of that love through baptism. "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" -Luke 10:27
So much love got me to this point, and all i can do now is give it as freely as it was given to me by Him. “We love because He first loved us.” - 1 John 4:19
Happy Saturday everyone. ❤️
-to the one who can’t stop wondering why
-to the one who is exhausted of never being chosen
-to the one who is sickened by the world’s warped expectations and the judgment received when they can’t meet them
-to the one who cries themselves to sleep at night
-to the one who is afraid to let the dams of their heart break open out of fear of feeling their emotions at such intensity
-to the one who the devil constantly taunts, seemingly never ceasing to shout lies like daggers
-to the one who thinks they aren’t worthy; that they will never enough
-to the one who thinks they don’t matter and are easily forgotten
-to the one who weeps over years lost to loneliness, rejection, pain, and suffering
-to the one who despises the words lonely and unseen
-to the one who fears the days ahead, having only the slightest glimmer of hope that what they’ve endured for so long may finally end
God. Loves. You.
He. Has. Chosen. You.
He calls you beloved, worthy, priceless.
He gives you the identity of His child.
He can and will restore the years lost.
He is able to create beautiful abundance where there’s lack, transforming your pain into joy, filling every void til it overflows and then fill some more.
He is Truth and only tells you Truth.
He never lies.
He does not abandon.
He. Has. Never. Forgotten. You.
He isn’t afraid or taken back by your pain and emotions; rather, He willingly embraces you and takes on all your burdens and sorrows.
His only expectation is that you come to Him, as you are, and obey Him so that you may be made holy.
You are free to share your heart with Him, for He will not scoff or mock or gossip or belittled or disregard.
He sees and hears you.
He weeps with you.
He will be in the silence with you.
He. Understands. Your. Aches.
Listen to the Father. Come to Christ. Be loved by Him. Be engulfed in His Spirit’s presence. Choose to be with Him and hear His voice. Fill your mind with His Truth. Let Him love you and heal you in only the ways that He can.
You. Matter. To. Him.
50 lbs difference
I never in a million years thought I could lose FIFTY pounds. First of all, I hoped to never be in the position to need to, and second I never thought I could really make it happen.
I started this program with all the doubt and apprehensions. I can’t stick with it. It can’t be so great that it’ll work that well for me. I need something quick- I can’t stick it out. This better be simple because I’m way too busy for “another thing”.
Yep- been there. But guess what? It did work for me. God has used Beachbody, my accountability group, nutrition plans and simple, at-home workouts to totally change my health.
That’s right- I didn’t lose the weight and pat myself on the back and quit. No- it’s about my HEALTH. And that’s one of the many things I’m so thankful for about this program. It’s a lifelong journey. Better find something you don’t hate. Your health matters.
Next group starts in a week. Join in on the joy, challenge, accountability, grace, understanding, and place for growth in your health journey. You won’t regret it.
Joel: taking all the baths for tense muscles this week. Jess: walking/hopping on his back and using my nails to make up for my weak, small hands when giving shoulder rubs (which is apparently more painful than relaxing)
Feel free to pass on any massage training YouTube videos...
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 NKJV Today, if you feel like you are coming short of many things, Jesus is there to cover you and set you free. Wherever He has called you to go, He will equip you. #christhassetusfree#graceupongrace
Today I’m feeling grateful for:
+ My husband
+ My family
+ The sweet reminders of God’s grace
Sometimes it’s just good to remember what truly matters. What are you grateful for today? #bestill
Every minute someone leaves this world behind.
We are all in "the line" without knowing it.
We never know how many people are before us.
We can not move to the back of the line.
We cannot step out of the line.
We cannot avoid the line.
So while we wait in line, MAKE moments count.
Make the time.
Make your gifts known
Make a nobody feel like somebody
Make your voice heard.
Make the small things big.
Make someone smile.
Make the change.
Make sure to show and tell your family and friends they are loved.
Make sure you have no regrets
And most of all make sure you are ready, for we don't know that day and hour.
Our marriage is far from perfect.
This perfect looking picture of us doesn't tell the story of all the imperfect years we've had as we reach this 12 year mark. It hasn't been easy. There are days where we've both wanted to give up or more specifically, sit in a complacent marriage that's "good enough."
But instead of sitting there with a "good enough" marriage, we wrestled and sacrificed and pushed through the barriers to get us to this point of where I can truly say, I've never felt so secure in our love and alive in our connection.
What a gift it was to my heart to hear his voice today as he and I are 3,000 miles away from each other right now. I can honestly say I love him now more than any other time. I thought our love couldn't grow any deeper, but I was so wrong.💖
Let me share 3 things for you if you're struggling in your relationship:
👉1. Think the best of one another, not the worst. This really works.
👉2. Work as a team. You do the kids bath and have him read a story. Let let him go fishing one weekend while he gives you a girls weekend on the next. Have him take out the trash while you put the trash bag in.😉 (Trust me on this one.) This will keep you connected and appreciate one another.
👉3. Pray together. I know it may feel awkward at first if you're not used to it but I'm a firm believer that couples who pray together, stay together.
Happy 12 year Anniversary to this man who continues to believe in me and all that God has called me to.💞
I’ve prayed to God to have a group of girlfriends like this for soooo long 🌟 I am so grateful that you four were put into my life and I have never been happier! Whether we are talking about Jesus or pinky promises, we are always doing it with a smile on our faces ☺️ love you girls with all my heart 💛
My life is not a constant 'perfect picture' that looks great on Instagram. The reality aligns more with overbooked days, two to three cups of coffee to get through the day and then ironically struggling to fall asleep because of too much caffeine. It consists of forgetting my bag somewhere and asking friends to pick it up (thank you guys!), and leaving my keys behind and turning around to pick them up. Or reaching 2:00 pm to realize that I forgot to put make up that day. Lately, I've been able to meal prep (FINALLY!!), but days later I do not want to eat it - pointless huh?. My day to day changes all the time - sometimes even I struggle to remember exactly where am I supposed to be and I rush out of places to make it in time to the next place. My devotional times look, well they don't have a particular look right now, because they happen at sporadic times every day. Some days, my time in the Word occurs first thing in the morning and it's accompanied with a delicious cup of coffee. Other times, it happens as I find 5 minutes to sit down and read the passage on my phone. More often, they happen in the minutes before I go to bed. And you know what? I am learning that this is beautiful. It's beautiful to be in a season where all of my confidence and reliance comes from the Lord. It's beautiful to learn that He takes me as I come: rushed, messy, stressed and anxious and to know that not only he takes me as I am, but he cares and sustains me in the process!! It's beautiful to know that when I seek Him I find Him; that my soul is satisfied in Him alone. So... all this to say that whatever season we are in is beautiful. It may not look like it or feel like it but it is.... through this season God is working a beautiful work in our lives so that we may come to know Him, love Him and be satisfied in Him. Embrace with me the season you are in. Let's learn to stop comparing how our lives look like on social media and really begin diving deep into the plans and wonders God has for you and me today - outside of the screen. #beautifulseason
I’m in a season where I’m realizing that God is doing important work inside the walls of my apartment. God is repairing broken things through conversations and vulnerability and meals and morning coffee. I’m realizing that loving my “neighbor” means the people outside my context just as much as the people very closest to me.
I wrote something that speaks to what I’m learning, you can read it at the link in my bio.
