There is a current seam between the two boulders off in the distance that always seems to hold a trout or two. A week after I took this picture I was fishing this same stretch when an amorous angus bull (following a cow) started heading my way about fifty yards away. I did not want to be perceived as a potential suitor for his cow, so I grabbed my camera bag and headed for the fence as fast as I could. I had set my fly rod down on the other side of the stream before seeing the bull, and decided to sacrifice the rod rather than risk a close encounter with a jealous bull. I was able to retrieve the rod several hours later after the bull and his harem had moved downstream.
