When you finally realize and accept that no one else’s opinion of your life matters 😃
They say you shouldn’t care about what other people think, but for some of us that’s easier said than lived out. .
As someone who cares deeply about other people and who has always been an empath, it’s often difficult for me to disregard what other people think because I’m very conscious of how they feel.
While it can be a good thing and a selfless thing to consider others and to put others first, I’ve learned that when it comes at the expense of your own health, happiness and independence it can be a destructive force.
I think it comes back to the core concept of do no harm and you get back the energy you put out in the world. I strive to radiate the joy and positivity that I cultivate through my spiritual and meditative life. But being an empath I’ve learned that my energy is acutely affected by those with negative energy around me. It’s been times when I’ve experienced this negative drain that I’ve had to remove those people and situations from my life for my own sanity and wellbeing. The difference is removing those people out of love for yourself and your higher energy instead of out of hate and spite.
While there is always a flux in my emotions, I’ve truly started to learn what it means to live my life for me and it because of how other people view or expect me to live. In the end this is my life and I have the power to decide where I take it.
Happy Tuesday friends 🖤

“Are you vegan?”
...well i guess this picture has already answered this for me lol, but no, i am not vegan. i don’t eat meat and i don’t eat dairy, but i do eat organic pasture raised eggs.
Last July i went completely vegan and kept it up for about 3 months, until my digestion went down the 🚽. Like many people when they first go vegan or eat more plant-based, i thought i needed to have this insane amount of protein at every meal. I was eating several servings of beans & lentils every single day, and over time i had developed my very own sensitization to any and all beans! YAY!
I was frustrated and annoyed with the constant bloat and gas and that i had “failed” as a vegan, until it clicked one day that i didn’t need to be this perfect vegan and keep up a labeled diet if i didn’t really want to. i started reincorporating eggs and it just felt so right; i finally felt satiated, i was getting in a whole source of protein without messing up my entire digestive system, and i was able to put on some weight that i had lost going vegan (more on this soon).
I have absolutely nothing against veganism, obviously, but for some people it just isn’t as easy. I’m ethically okay with eating eggs if they’re organic and pasture raised, and this is just what works for me
**Please try to refrain if you have something negative to say about this, because the way i eat makes me happy and to be honest i don’t want to hear it. Much love! 💛 |
