Yesterday was tough.
I was anxious, uncomfortable and got these overwhelming feelings of not being in control of myself or my surroundings.
I felt helpless.
My work is to empower women and men to feel strong and in control and like they are the only ones who decide how they feel, BUT in order to get there you may come to feel feelings of powerlessness...and that is OKAY.
You may have to feel yourself losing control to be able to regain it and take that power back.
In an industry where it is so important to project a good, healthy, Empowered life, I feel as though it is more important to be real.
I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety. Not often, but at times and it can be truly challenging.
When I feel these attacks coming on it is vital that I remove myself from any overstimulating environment and do things that calm my soul/mind.
I will listen to music and do some deep breath work.
I will lay on the ground and gaze up at the sky.
And yesterday I decided to take myself on an early morning walk. Safe to say the universe rewarded me and gave me this beautiful sight to look at.
Don’t let Anxiety completely control you. You are capable of treating yourself kindly at times like these.
This is something I’ve been thinking of a lot today ...I realised that I’ve put in too much negative energy into needing to get healthy that I’ve missed the point. Life isn’t about perfection, it’s about enjoying the imperfection... (ooh that’s next weeks quote right there 🙌🏻) ————————————————————————
