just a clip from the nose bleed section... nbd #Repost @garrettfear with @get_repost
645x2 & 685x1 from yesterday before Hatfield’s. Was having a hell of a time finding depth yesterday, even in my warm ups. Couldn’t really figure out why either, hips felt good, hamstrings felt good, groin felt good. Sorry father @jplifts_sbc . But that’s okay. Excited to get back on programming Monday.
I’ll be competing in October, at the IPL Midwest Open, hopefully taking a real shot at 2K. I know, I know. 1900 first. Shoot for the moon land in the stars I guess. Haha. BW:208

If you don’t know JP, you probably should.
I have always known of JP, ever since I got into powerlifting. In case you don’t know, only American to walkout and squat 1000lbs and then bench 600+.. JP first messaged me about a year ago. My squat max at the time was 600 at 198. Lots has changed, regardless, JP messaged me on IG. This was back when it was “lifts_teamie”, he messaged me with one of my own squat videos and basically said, “let’s fix this.” I finally met JP at the Arnold this year, where we pretty much hung out in the @animalpak cage, where he introduced me to @jesska_smith who’s also pretty badass. We just hung out and watched some big lifts.
Later on that day he met with us at the @mbslingshot booth, where he cut the hour sum odd long and introduced me to @marksmellybell and @bigstrongfast as the “biggest dickhead in powerlifting”. If you know JP, you know that’s a compliment.
Anyway. Every experience I’ve had with JP since, from the Arnold to competing with him at @kernusopen , and hanging out with him and training with him while here in Missouri, has been nothing short of fucking awesome.
There aren’t a lot of people like JP. In terms of strength and humanity. If you ever have the chance to meet JP, or come to KC, or are within one hundred miles of him. Go. It’s a learning experience everytime and it’s always cool to meet cool humans.
You’re an inspiration to me, and I’m sure many others. I’m honored to be your friend.
FYI, he is shorter than you expected.
