„Die Menschen sind nicht versichert, weder hier noch in ihrer Heimat.“ Ein normaler Arztbesuch wird dadurch unmöglich. Am Hauptbahnhof München geht unser Team vom Behandlungsbus auf die Menschen zu, berät sie und führt medizinische Behandlungen durch. Mitarbeiterin Audrey berichtet über diese wichtige Arbeit und erklärt, warum alle Menschen Anspruch auf medizinische Versorgung haben sollten. 📹 in Gesamtlänge 👉 https://youtu.be/UPTnCjtFI8Y
At one point my whole fb was filled with gofundme’s asking for money for various medical bills/treatments. It makes me sick to even think about it. We can do better. We deserve better. #universalhealthcare#healthcareforall
It was #happyhour at the OPC National Conference and I figured I’d bring my preggo wife over to show her some cool stuff in prosthetics and orthotics! And we bumped into @ky.prosthetics at the @ottobockus_ca booth! 😆
Looking back, it has been a whirlwind of an experience! I’ve got to meet and talk with Canadian Paralympians and SO many inspiring professionals who dedicate their life in improving the quality of life and mobility of people.
Looking forward, I’m energized and ready to get back to school next month to bring it to the next level! 🤘
Cinnamon has been consumed since 2000 BC in Ancient Egypt, where it was highly prized. In medieval times, doctors used cinnamon to treat conditions such as coughing, arthritis, and sore throats.
It is now the second most popular spice, after black pepper, in the U.S and Europe.
Some studies in labs and on animals have indicated that cinnamon may have some beneficial health properties, but more research and evidence is needed to confirm these benefits.
Taking cinnamon as a supplement can have effects on health and disease. Supplements, however, are not monitored by the FDA and there might be concerns about quality, purity, and strength in varying brands of any supplements.
People use cinnamon as a supplement to treat problems with the digestive system, diabetes, loss of appetite, and other conditions.
It has also been used in traditional medicine for bronchitis.
Cinnamon oil may help treat some types of fungal infections, such as Candida, according to results of a lab study, published in 2016.
Research published in 2003 in Diabetes Care found that cinnamon may help improve glucose and lipid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Consuming up to 6 grams (g) of cinnamon a day appeared to lower serum glucose, triglyceride, LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol in 60 people with type 2 diabetes.
The authors suggested that if people with type 2 diabetes include cinnamon in their diet, this may reduce their risk of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
However, in a review published in 2012, researchers concluded that cinnamon does not help lower levels of glucose or glycosylated hemoglobin A!c (HbA1c)—long-term measures of blood-glucose control—in people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
A further small study did not find that a combination of cinnamon, calcium, and zinc helped control blood pressure in people with type 2 diabetes.
Animal studies have suggested that cinnamon may help prevent Alzheimer's disease.
CLC MEMBER FEATURE: Hello my name is Riley and I suffer from CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) and bad chronic migraines.
Now for the CRPS part! In October it was a normal weekend when I had the worst migraine I’ve ever had. The next day I went into anaphylaxis attack. My throat, tongue, and lips swelled up causing me not being able to breath I was rushed to the hospital walking out I couldn’t balance by myself. This lasted a few days. But then I was admitted to the hospital. That morning when I woke up, I had severe nerve pain on the bottom of my feet which made me not being able to walk. This is when they diagnosed me with CRPS. I was too weak to sit up on my own or even to stand up without falling. I spent months in rehab getting stronger where I was able to walk on my own!
A few years before the CRPS started I had a head injury that caused migraines and made it impossible for me to move my neck on one side for years in till I was admitted to the hospital for rehab that’s when they discovered I badly damaged the a nerve. They went into surgery because it was getting worse they fixed and blocked the nerve to block the pain signals to my brain! I have to get it done every year. But I’m 1 month migraine free today! Never give up rehab was the worst thing I’ve ever been enrolled to but in the end I was glad I joined it🙏❤️after 6 hospital visits I’m back home and adapting to the pain.
Chronic pain is hard but your stronger💪 #chronicloveclub
