I posted this on Instagram story & got the most AMAZING response. So I wanted to repost on my pages as I truly think it is such an empowering message. Aidy & I managed to get away for a very quick, adults only trip away on the weekend. I’m 7.5 months pregnant & it was so nice to have some down time. In the city we saw this huge teddy & the first thing we thought is how much sienna would love to see this teddy. Aidy took a photo of me in front of it & I was so excited to show her.
When Aidy sent me the photo, I started to pick away at the things I didn’t like. Zooming in & out for AGES thinking to myself “gosh I hate my thighs, my bum is huge”. I started obsessing about it. I finally showed Sienna & the first words out of her mouth was “Mummy you’re so beautiful.” Instantly my heart sank & thought if I ever heard my girls speak to themselves the way I spoke to myself, I would be so upset with myself.
So I now look at this photo like an innocent 3 year old would. She doesn’t see bums or thighs the way I do or society does. She sees her pregnant mummy, carrying her baby sister/brother in front of a HUGE teddy! What the photo truly is about .
The next time I’m tearing my body apart, I’m going to think what would Sienna say. Love every stage of your body & appreciate every moment. We are truly blessed ♥️
IBS Friendly smoothie bowl 🥣. .
.So lately I’ve been having IBS flare ups 😒🙄 so time to crack down on the food choices ! It’s from all the over indulging lately and eating waaaaay too much coconut yogurt 😭😭😭Even though I eat a super healthy diet some of the healthy foods don’t always agree with our tummies ! If you get tummy aches after eating certain foods even if they are healthy foods then maybe you should start journaling how you feel after each meal and look for patterns of feeling yucky and bloated , then you can pin point the foods that your gut doesn’t like.
.Smoothie bowls are my absolute faaaaaave so I’ve had to modify my usual recipe to make it more IBS friendly. Smoothie bowls have now become a treat for me because too much of this isn’t so good for my IBS , I’ve taken out coconut yogurt and I now use water and almond milk to blend.
.This bowl has:.
. A RIPE banana, the bananas with brown spots are no good if you have IBS or tummy issues OR you can use frozen avocado (this is a game changer!). . Frozen Blueberries.
. Unsweetened Almond milk & water to blend.
. Almond butter (soaked / balanced almonds are always best for IBS , making your own almond butter is best and don’t eat too much!). . @mitchellsbonebroth collagen powder, collagen powder is AMAZING FOR YOUR GUT HEALTH 🙌🏼 .
.Cacao powder. .
. Chia seeds. .
.Ive garnished my smoothie bowl with a paleo granola but only a table spoon because of the coconut, ideally your not supposed To have too much coconut based products with IBS. A little bit here and there is okay though 👌🏽.
.What foods make you want to roll into a ball clutching your legs and not wanting to move ??!!! I’m interested to know ! 👇🏼👇🏼

Emotional Stress 💕
This is something that is increasing in our society we are all walking around chronically stressed, and it’s having a big impact on our health. When we are stressed the muscles in our neck and shoulders get tight, our breathing gets more shallow, and our body directs blood flow away from our vital organs so we start to get all sorts of problems with digestion, reproduction and so much more.
It’s really important that we start finding ways to incorporate calming and grounding methods into our daily routines.
Personally my checklist for stressful periods is as follows and in no particular order: ✨ Get adjusted ✨ Exercise ✨ Meditation ✨ Journalling ✨Breathing
✨ Kinesiology Balance ✨ Accupuncture ✨Posture Pole ✨ Essential Oils ✨ Ocean walk/ Walk in Nature
I hope you find some of these useful, if you have any to add or any questions 👇 comment below 💗
Monday motivation. Making small changes will help you reach your health and fitness goals. This week's healthy living tip is to drink water every day!! If you don't like plain water, try adding some lemon, lime, orange, or cucumber slices, mint leaves, or try adding a couple of drops of food grade essential oils. Herbal teas are also a great way to help you stay hydrated while adding some flavor to your water. Pass on the sugary beverages, especially sodas!! Eventually, the cravings will pass and you will look back and think, how did I ever drink this stuff?!!! I promise that your brain and body will thank you! Drinking water is great for your skin, it helps increase energy levels, aids in digestion, relieves headaches, lubricates your joints, and helps your body flush out toxins. Remember, small changes lead to big health benefits! Comment below with your favorite ways to help you drink your water! #drinkyourwater#goals#mondayquotes#mondaymotivation#healthyliving#boymomlife#fitnessinstructor#occupationaltherapist#healthnut#motivateothers#smallchanges#youareincontrol
Have you ever tried a supplement that everyone is raving about, only to find that it made you feel awful—and then kept taking it anyway, because “everyone else said it works!”
• • •
Have you ever continued eating a “superfood” that you didn’t like, that didn’t agree with you; simply because it’s the latest fad?
• • •
Have you ever undergone a medical treatment that didn’t make sense to you, or taken something to which your body reacted adversely, simply because it was recommended by an “expert?”
• • •
The possibilities are endless, but the question is critical: have you ever trusted someone to be more of an expert on your body, your health, and your experience, than YOU? We all have, and the reason is simple—we’re not taught to trust ourselves, we’re taught to trust the experts. We are continuously given this message: YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR YOU, SO ASK AN EXPERT. Guess what: we are the experts. We are the ones who have been living in our body since day one. We are the ones having the first-hand experience. We are the ones who know what it feels like from the inside. We are the ones who have a customized intuitive channel that allows us to recognize what benefits us, what feels good, what our body needs, and what it doesn’t. It’s simply a matter of tuning in. So, ask yourself...

Have you tuned in lately?

Sometimes you can’t be RIGHT and HAPPY
This has been a hard pill for me to swallow but guess what? You can’t control other people and you can’t predict every time someone will let you down or treat you unjustly.
Here’s the thing, we often spend more time avenging ourselves or attempting to convince closed minded people that we are right or they are wrong or trying to explain why the path we are taking in life is different..
When all we really want is to be accepted, loved and appreciated. We show up, give it our all at our jobs only to have our boss miss the mark on recognizing our talents and contributions because another brown-nosing coworker was in their face distracting their attention.
We show up, show out, and our HUMAN NATURE just wants to be met halfway. And when that doesn’t happen we tend to spend a lot of time explaining how we are right, instead of just being happy.
When we do this what happens is we shy away from our authentic self, we invite hate in and push love out, and we fall away from what our purpose was to begin with.
Have you had to make a decision to be happy rather than right recently? If so, was it difficult? Tell me about it ⬇️

3 weeks post C-section vs 9 weeks post c-section. I share this for no other reason than to show you that YOU 👏🏻 DONT 👏🏻 HAVE 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 BE 👏🏻 PERFECT. .
Seriously! I would say my nutrition has been about 60% decent (and that’s being generous).. and I’ve only been able to to workout for the last two weeks.
Am I physically back where i want to be? HA. NO. ONE pair of pre maternity jeans fit And I’m still majority jiggle and dimples. But is there SOME progress here? Yes. 26 lbs total lost so far!
Hesitant in joining a fitGroup Bc you can’t fully commit and go all in? ...SPOILER ALERT... I’m not sure that time is ever possible for the majority of people. In fact, i don’t WANT you to have that expectation Bc you’re going to let yourself down! I’m only asking you to make progress! 1% better every day. NONE of us are perfect on this journey, and that’s the beauty of it. .
Health and fitness goal? New Years resolutions? Don’t get in your own way! Just take that first step! I gotchu!
