It’s that time...🤓🏃🏼♀️
After a lovely few months of trying new exercise routines and playing around with different resistance training methods, 24 weeks today (that’s nearly 6 months - it’s fine...) I will be running marathon number 2!
So today’s task is finalising a new training plan. Last year’s plan got the job done, but there’s a few things that I’ve learned, so this time round I’m going to write my own. With help, of course, from @runnersworlduk
Here’s to weeks of the best and worst times, and I’ll see you sometime in May @fraser_wallace! 💙
If you’ve watched my video blogs via Facebook (link in bio), you’d know my main reasons for embarking on this wild adventure.
One reason is to experience the beauty in humanity. People out here have been great to me, no matter how much different we are.
Pictured left is Duffle. We finished the Pacific Crest Trail the same day! He opened his house to me for about 5 days in New Orleans, let me keep my kayak there as I flew back to Indiana, and shared some fuggin’ awesome food with me!
Then top right we have Chris and Jonathan. Chris knows a man who saw my craigslist ad in Houston, and he knows a Jonathan, who opened his house to me the past couple days. SO GRATEFUL to have met these people! They even helped me score my first newspaper article of the trip! (Coming soon)
Then there’s Brian and Suho. They both paddled the Mississippi too! It was so great to be with other people who have lived the experience, and share this crazy accomplishment of braving the mighty Mississippi.
I’m proud to call all of these people friends....I hope to see you again one day.
I GOT THROUGH THE DREADED WEEK OF TESTS! 🙌🏽🙌🏽As a reward I gave myself a day off yesterday in order to keep my mind sane! 😂 But today, it’s back to the grind. ☹️The tests ain’t over just yet! 😭 #herewegoagain
