For all the seniors out there.....you will blink and suddenly it will be 75 days past graduation and you will be packing up your childhood bedroom and saying some very hard emotional goodbyes to the people you basically grew up with. So cherish every minute no matter how long it may seem. Go to every football game, or just every school event possible. Have some late school nights and some early sunrise mornings. Spend as much time as you can with everyone you care about because before long it will be 3 days before you start a new life and you will be looking back at the beautiful memories you made.
Attention High School sophomores, Juniors & Seniors!!
Do you want to work with people with disabilities? Do you want to learn about this population in a college setting with other teens and get college credit for it?
The Friedberg JCC currently has openings in a program called CLASSP (Consortium for Learning and Service to Special Populations). You will be paid to work in our programs for people with disabilities, attend class on four Sundays during the year at Hofstra, and participate in the Youth Worker's conference at NYU.

I get asked by better playing junior golfers and parents of these juniors whether they should play for their high school golf team. Now there is no secret that most high school competitions are less competitive than your local junior tours and definitely less than most national tours but why pass up an opportunity to play in free tournaments?!? Regardless of the field strength a junior golfer, especially a college bound golfer should look at every competition as a way to add to their playing resume and increase their tournament experience. If you are that good then go out there and win every event. Match medalist, District Champ, Regional Champ, and State Champ never hurt anybody's resume so play, play, play!
