3.2.1. ACTION // a year ago today I was flying back to Australia from Nepal for the s cond time. In between work and study over the 12 months prior spanning 2015-2016 I climbed Everest Basecamp, Machhapuchhre Basecamp and Annapurna Basecamp, I reached 5880M above sea level, I travelled halfway around the world, had marvellous adventures and realised my capabilities exceed my mental perception of challenges. I realised that acknowledging ‘I can’ empowers ‘I will’ and inspires action. . Now I DO. Now I hold my achievements as a reflection of my potential. Now I look for more. Now I say ‘I am’.
...aaaaaand one last throwback for today. This time: My first "holy dipping" into the Ganga river, Rishikesh 2012.
I was heading to some town in the Himalayas for a school function when we had a short stop in Rishikesh. I've only been in India for 3 weeks and on that photo I wear my first Salwar Kameez. Unfortunately the whole piece was a misadventure: For shopping the cloth I was accompanied by a nun, who has never been shopping before. We both had no idea how to bargain and about prices, so I ended up being overcharged. In addition, the tailor woman wasn't able to handle my body's size - it seems - as the shirt was super tight, too short and somehow unintentionally diagonally 😂
...at least now I know 😉
