Happy Tuesday! ⠀
I get asked a lot "How are you guys doing it?!". Both Baz and I work full time while we are slowly restoring Bungalora to her full beauty. ⠀
We have a seemingly endless list of projects that need to be completed and we are trying our best to learn to live with constant chaos. ⠀
I dream of the day I can take photo's of a beautiful & productive veggie garden & Baz dreams of the day he buys his first cows.⠀
For now we tackle what we can when we can, and do our best to sit back once and a while and appreciated where we are and the opportunities we have. ⠀
We are also lucky in that Bazza’s parents live with us which helps hugely with what we can get done! We are extremely greatful for their help.
Here is an example of our cut sheet for 1/4, 1/2 and whole cow purchases.
We hope this helps while you are filling out your sheet.
DM for any questions. (Limited to 1min so it was cut off. Head to Opoma Farms Facebook page for the whole video. Hope it still helps)
Converting three beds into one large bed to be our experimental grain/beans rotation. These beds were covered with the cocktail I made, last Fall. I must say I’m very proud of the soil we’re building here on Germantown Hill. This year, we’ll sow oats, then black beans, then winter wheat. We’re basing this bed on the work of Susanna Lein at Salamander Springs Farm in Berea, Ky and Masanobu Fukuoka. It’s no-till from here on out.
