I had so much fun last night at the @citylitproject's event for Well-Read Black Girl and meeting Glory Edim! It was such an amazing experience and there was so much amazing black girl magic and beautiful energy in the room as we all joined in on the discussion of how we first experienced finding ourselves represented in literature. We also discussed self-care, love, and mental health, how it was getting so many amazing writers to be featured in the book, and some details of Glory's next book. Truly an amazing experience for me 💖
So excited to have gotten my copy of the Well-Read Black Girl anthology signed too! Can you tell that I was nervous? Lol. You can also see that I looked a hot mess next to Glory and that I was oh so awkward but we made it work 🤣. I was so nervous that I even forgot to mention to @guidetoglo that I'm a fellow Howard alum too! If you haven't already please pick up a copy of her book and support her! .
