A little macrame plant hanging, let's hope the plant enjoys being repotted here and doesn't die in about a week. Thanks to @knots_margoyoung sorry it's new home was so long in the making. #macrame#macrameplanthanger#plantsofinstagram
Good morning 💗
Here’s today’s entry for #newinteriorsontheblock 😊 P.S @thisnaturalbee I will bring your jumpsuit to you at lunchtime 😂 It just fits nicely into #myhousethismonth floral theme 😆
I also thought I’d pop on and announce the winner of my giveaway. Thank you to everyone who entered 😊 The winner is... @thecornerhouseat2 🎉 Drop me a message and I can organise your prize 💗
Have a lovely day!
One little corner of the room is done, oddly my husband's side (no way you'll catch me sleeping by a door!). Painting for today is done, just the window to go which lets face it I probably won't get around to becuase tomorrow is for faffing, well after my exciting morning at child first aid. Only four years late but by tomorrow morning I'm sure I'll know what I should have done a few years ago. I might even iron the bed sheets tomorrow for you guys, expect a treat 😃 #bedroomdecor#mellowsage#mcmart
The new hoover arrived on Friday and we are obsessed 🙈 Tom’s done more hoovering this last few days than I’ve ever seen him do. The things that get you excited when you’re older eh?! 😂 We tried it out on these rugs and were quite ashamed at the dirt it picked up.. they had been hoovered, but our old vacuum was absolute crap! Now they look like new👌🏻
‘On the floor’ for #myhousethismonth
Call me old fashioned but I believe in the power of aroma. Natural scents have a way of cleansing the space and filling one with positive energy. There are some homes you feel so good about as soon as you enter the foyer, and yet, there are ones where you don't get good vibes
. . ..
Over the past few months, I've been experimenting with a few natural fragrances -- such as drying the herbs in my garden and using them as potpourri. The herbs I use are lemongrass, rosemary, oregano, and camphor tulsi with a few drops of essential oils.
.. I don't like the strong smell of commercial agarbathis.. They give me headache. I was recently introduced to Palo Santo sticks. They are amazing but not affordable for a daily basis. Have you tried the Strategi incense? I did (the Citronella ones) and found it to be too strong. I filled a jar with some base oil and about 40 drops of Orange essential oil. Dipped the bamboo skewers in the mixture for about 15 minutes and then turned it upside down. Keep inverting the sticks once in a few days. . . What are your natural ways of making the house smell heavenly? .
So pleased to have made some decorating progress today. Goodbye horrible beige carpet (plus really unhelpful layers of underlay and chipboard!) and hello floor sander! In a few days the floor should be white! 💪
I had to give ‘basket’ for #myhousethismonth a miss yesterday down to refusing to route through all of the moving boxes for them 😂 Whilst home I thought I’d utilise my Mum & Dad’s very instagrammable house 🌵🛀 Not exactly my house this month, but the faffing was down to me.. I have to work with what I can lately! 🤷🏻♀️
