If you ask anyone that's known me for a long time...they'll say, you always do things your own way. You can THANK my Mom for that.
As many times as I pushed to have or wear what others had, I could but had to do it my way. That meant cutting a pretty expensive sweatshirt up so it didn't look like anyone else's.
So you see my house is the same...DIFFERENT! I get so much inspiration from others on IG but I always put my own spin on everything.
I love this view! It's one of my favorites in our humble home.

Changing things around in my house and I pulled up an old rendering for a client that I did last year. I rarely create renderings for myself because they take so long. I just go for it, but this helps so much! We have a pretty minimal dining room and I’m trying to talk my husband into a rug. We have a 3 year old that makes a mess every meal, so it’s a tough call, but it would be so beautiful.. I’m hoping this convinces him.. also I want those leather chairs from @cb2. That’s all. #mycb2
Heading into weekend + I'm ready for bed before ten. 😬🙈 I've been working away on an autumn collection and things are slowly coming together. 💛 Here's "Cornfield Sunset" 🌽 // featuring two peonies in tones of tawny and coffee, a burnt red autumn sunflower, and an array of fall grasses and accent beading on an eighteen inch grapevine base. 🌾 Speaks of hayrides at dusk, the sweet smell of hay bales at the fall festival, and homemade popcorn popping on the stove. 🍂
There comes a time when you stop fighting it and just come to accept it. •
🌿 I’m a total nerd plant lady.🌿 •
I am so stinking happy with this rubber tree plant. I secretly ripped three leaves off a larger tree last year as we ate outdoors at a restaurant- and it’s been consistently growing ever since. •
Tonight I gave it a milk bath. Equal parts milk and water. I gently washed each leaf and when I was finished I wiped each leaf with mayonnaise. Then buffed them like a prized vintage car. •
I’m not proud of this geeky realization. I am embarrassed and ashamed to say that this was my Friday night excitement. •
Ohhhhh, but look at her shine... 🤩
This desk is a hot mess now, but I’m glad because it means it’s being put to good use. (Search the blog for “plywood desk” for the tutorial.) If you missed my post earlier today, Jonah is getting a mini version of this desk for his room to go with his adorable tiny Eames-style chair. The boys had an exciting day encountering some wildlife in our yard, by the way. Check out my stories to see what I mean. 😊 Hope you all have a great weekend!
