YOUR DREAMS ARE VALID!!! I was humbled at the request to cater for a 2 day Health week event by one of the leading Banks in Nigeria. We provided bottlesssssss of Smoothies and I couldn’t help but introspect and marvel at how far we have come. I know fully well that this is purely the GRACE OF GOD at work🙏🙏🙏 . Contrary to how it may seem at the moment it took me and now I can humbly say “US” many years to get to where we are.
I’d pretty much give you a timeline below:
2007: the idea for #moweesjuicebar was birthed while I was serving my fatherland. It seemed like it was going to be a long and uneventful year so I headed to Dubai, UAE with the support of my parents, THE BEST by the way to go purchase clothing items and jewelry for sale.
While on that trip I had my first encounter with freshly made juices and smoothies. Dubai is HOTTTTTTTTTTT (let me quickly advise here that if you aren’t looking to roast your entire being do not visit the UAE in the summer months) and the weather was an excuse to indulge in juices and smoothies and within a few days I saw a big difference in my skin and general state of well being. I was sad at the realization that the lifestyle wouldn’t continue when I got back. At the time the only juice bar I knew in Lagos was at the Airport. I recall saying to my my parents that I would love to start a Juice bar in Lagos when I returned home. That Dubai trio/ experience was a lightbulb one. However Nothing concrete would happen till many years after.
2007: Service year ended and I got a job with one of the TOP Banks in Nigeria.
2008- 2011 : I Revisited the UAE and reconnected with juices and smoothies😍 The Idea was taking more shape. I was more convinced than before that I had to bring a Healthier and better alternative to all the sugary and unhealthy drinks we were consuming. At the time I was a black soda addict. Then in 2011 Registered #moweesjuicebar with the CAC, bought some equipment and consumables and began to low key juice and sell to my friends and colleagues.
