Chopt. Can you see me? Here I am, in this little helicopter flying above. I see you, and am speechless. What I am witnessing is indescribable. What my eyes see, beyond photos, what my imagination is imagining, beyond words. Massive, magical, breathtaking, floating art sculptures, frozen in their space. And me in mine.

Puff the Magic Dragon. I am proud to finally present my Greenlandic Iceberg collection. It is my own personal, creative interpretation of the Ilullisat Icefjords, as experienced by land, by sea and by air. They are dramatic, artistic, moody, abstract, and some even whimsical. The lighting played a great role in the outcome of the images, as the colors of the sky changed, so did the vision before me. The different angles and viewpoints gave the icebergs such different perspectives, allowing me to capture them not only on a grand scale but also to get close on the intricate details. Call me crazy, but I saw things within these icebergs, objects and wildlife. It became a game for me, and gave these magnificent icebergs a life of their own.
I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I enjoyed shooting and creating them. They make me happy. I hope they make you happy too. #icebergs#ilullisat#greenland#icefjord#helicopter#aerial#landscape#landscapephotography @natgeo @natgeoadventure @natgeotravel

Greenland Winter Expedition | ‘19
Join me in the Arctic this winter for a mission far into the backcountry of West Greenland. Over five days next February, specifically timed to venture into the depths of the snow season, we’ll be heading by snowmobile to a remote area of inland ice, sleeping in isolated mountain huts and even an Igloo along the way. We will be far away from civilisation, focusing purely on the creation of art and gaining a raw experience of the Arctic. I had the opportunity to witness this area for the first time last winter and it literally left me speechless, I’ve never seen anything like it. Walking amongst towering icebergs, stuck into place above a frozen fjord and breathing the crisp air of -20°C conditions, this place is the closest thing to a dream for me.
Joining us to guide this expedition will be one of my great friends from Greenland, Jakob Schytz, a local of Ilulissat with an extensive knowledge of the area. We’ll have four seats available, so for all creatives with a passion for cold-climates, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to hone your creative skills while experiencing something truly unique.
