Surrounded by palm trees, a few steps from the beach and overlooking one of my favourite surf breaks...this is what my happy place looks like 😍

Light reveals so much if used the right way. It can affect how you feel about a subject from happy to sad and everything in between. It’ll show the perfections and imperfections. Texture, emotion, movement, and shape (shown here) are all revealed on how light is used. It’s amazing to me how the shift of light on a single image will completely alter my opinion and emotion towards what’s in front of me. The dog here, perfectly healthy BTW, brought up something different in me. It wasn’t about the literal feeling of the image but a reminder of the light I’ve been shining on myself. Pointed in a fresh direction, it’s helping me see the areas of my personal and professional life that are in the middle of movement. Some are perfect and full of possibilities while others are changing and being evaluated. All of these things are great because this shift of light has sparked growth in myself. I’m constantly working on myself and growing in all areas, which I love and will do my whole life. I find it interesting in this image, Princeton has shown me life is beautiful but let’s change the direction of my light and see what’s possible in me.
My vulnerability on social media is normally relegated to my images but I was compelled by this image and things in my life to share from my heart. Anyone who knows me, knows I love open sharing so I’d encourage, if you feel like it, to shift the light on yourself from time to time and see what else is inside you waiting to grow and change. I bet it’s beautiful and waiting to be free. #LightIsBeautiful
