What wholesome, flavoursome food looks like😍 .
@florence.camp.hill, only a few days old, from the people behind @felixforgoodness, is bringing some nourishment to the 'burbs.
With an all day breakfast and lunch menu, focusing on local, organic, sustainable producers❤. .
Florence does everything as much as possible from scratch, including fermented and pickled items, chutneys, kimchi, sourdough bread, as well as other deli items which they sell at one end of the cafe.
Coffee by @parallel_roasters is as brilliant as ever, and the "felix" house blend, is the perfect brew.
There's even some amazing ceramic keep-cups for sale by @robertgordonaustralia that we couldn't resist.
We loved the food here, that we came back two days in a row. The Polenta is just perfection on a plate.
A beautiful balance of creamy fresh corn, sweetness from artichoke and tomatoes, as well as the saltiness from olive crumb and fried capers.
So satisfying in this weather. Speaking of which, the house made spelt tagliatelle beef ragout is also worth the tasty adventure.
Tip: Buy a jar of the home-made kasundi with you. It's delicious🔥. .

Last night @qld_theatre launched their 2019 season - a season that has once again achieved gender parity of writers and directors, that showcases experiences from the margins as well as the mainstream, that includes the all-female @belloocreative as QT's first Resident Company, that will feature five world premieres, four of those written by women. The announcement of this season, featuring a range of stories in vastly different genres about such a diverse cast of female characters, on their own terms and with their own voices, incited so much recognition in me - recognition I did not realise was missing, as we often don't when we aren't used to seeing ourselves in certain ways and spaces. I felt myself tearing up in the audience. In saying this, I also acknowledge that as a white, cis, able-bodied woman, my story has still been told and shown for centuries, and that aforementioned lack of recognition is so much more present for others than it is for me. But Queensland Theatre is continuing to take big steps in the right direction, and I am so excited to see what 2019 will hold, on and off the stage. .
You can read all the details of the 2019 season on the blog now. Get excited with me 👍.
MUY BUEN 👌
Here’s a fun fact, thanks to my genetic splash in the cuzzy pool.... or should I say my dads splash 😏
My appearance is somewhat ethnic and hard to pin point for most which is so fun for me.... except that time I went back to blonde and my Baby daddy’s Ride to earth jumped with joy and said Oh yay you look like a white girl!! 😱 COVER UP Your racism is showing! A whole other story but she kindly removed herself from the picture 🙏 (There is a god 🙊)... ANYWHO! I digress!
So 9/10 I get to be whatever I want to be. I have literally told people I was anything from Latin (easy pass) to Chinese and Jamaican descent 😂... I know, I’m surprised too! This one time I was in Sydney and did an entire bus tour as a Mexican... luckily the driver didn’t ask me too many questions because my Spanish only goes as far as Hola, muy buen, Cinco de mayo and a delicious array of Guzman y Gomez dishes!
This exotic head of mine also means that I love learning about other cultures! So where are you from?
Oh yeah, this chocolate overloaded cake is Muy Buen... petit Miam..... Delizioso! 👌
