All pets owners know very well what doing yoga with them means! Maybe they want some cuddles or simply your mat is more comfortable than their beds. So this challenge will be about them! We will leave our pets free to do what they want during our yoga practice 🐶🐱🐹🐰

I felt weak today.
I saw this picture in my head and thought it would be perfect. Tried to nail a headstand... and failed. Over and over.
I can usually nail a headstand.. even on uneven surfaces. But today... surrounded my ice and icy water it just wouldn’t happen.
It’s okay. My body is different every day. Sometimes it weighs more. Sometimes it weighs less. Sometimes I’m happy and the next minute I might feel sad. Sometimes I’m flexible and other times I’m not. Sometimes I have pimples and sometimes I have clear skin.
It’s what it means to be alive.
...And some days I can accept it and some days I struggle to.
How can you catch a tan & stay fit this winter?

Welcome to day four of #AMerryLittleYogaChallenge ❤️🎅🏼🎄❄️ : fallen angel
Alrighty friends- I tried and tried but could not do fallen angel. HOWEVER- this is the first time I have been able to hold crow and get a photo!! All without a pillow under my head too! This is a big moment for me because I basically have sticks for arms, making arm balances and inversions incredibly challenging for me. But look!!!! I only held it for maybe two seconds but still. Change is in the air...I can feel it. Maybe it’s that Christmas magic🥰

Since we will be here in Chiangmai for at least half the year, it was about time we found a solution to the problem of not having a soft enough surface area to practice all the different disciplines I love. 💜💜💜 🤔🤔A yoga mat isn’t wide enough to move freely. 🤔🤔 In fact, I find it constraining sometimes to feel like I can’t mobilize too far if I want to add a dynamic movement to an Asana.
So, we found these interlocking mats online!🤩 They’re originally for babies, but I’m a kid at heart so it works 😸😸😸 They’re just 60 cents a piece!🤑 We have just enough for me to stretch my arms past my head, widen my limbs apart, roll around and walk my dandasana around with some resistance bands!
What are some mat alternatives you’ve been enjoying?
We all have those days when you just need a hug.
When you want to fold in on yourself and hide away.
When you know things will be okay but you just can’t see how at that very moment in time.
When feelings come up that you can’t explain but that are so strong and intense you find it hard to accept them.
Those days when you just want someone to come a scoop you up and tell you everything will be okay. .
We all have those days. Those hours and weeks. Or even years. But it’s those periods that teach us to be strong, to learn about ourselves and to delve into feelings that make us uncomfortable or upset. Those experiences help us appreciate what we have around us as support and within us as strength. Those moments help us grow and learn how being “weak” can actually make us strong. .
So yesterday, after desperately trying to pull myself out of a black hole of feelings and failing, I’m giving myself a hug and allowing myself to feel crappy and vulnerable. I’m feeling whatever is coming up fully and wholly because I know there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just where my mind needs to go today and that’s okay. .
