Still decluttering in any spare time ; two big boxes for charity shop and two big bags of rubbish ~ she's been so good 👧🏼💗now I'm wondering how did it ever even fit in here ! Think I need to go over the whole lot a second time when it's done 🙈 #ikeaatmine
Setelah dua minggu, akhirnya renov kamar mandi anak selesai (tinggal pasang kaca shower).
Alhamdulillah seneng banget.
A little project.... A wall-mounted plate display, which was my project yesterday
🔹 A collection of pretty plates, I used about 20
🔹The same amount of ‘adhesive plate hanger discs’ which I usually buy on eBay or Amazon
🔹Tacks and a hammer
Lay your plates out on the floor (next to your chosen wall) and place them how you’d like them to appear on the wall. Get a tea towel and a bowl with a little water in and take the discs off the packaging, I did this on the floor as I hadn’t yet put the table together! Dip your fingers in the water and rub your fingers on the back of each disc. Do this again if needed, until the glue on the back goes a bit white and gluey. Leave them for just under ten minutes. Stick each gluey disc to the back of each plate, making sure it’s the right way up and rubbing until it’s really secure. If the glue has dried, just rub some water on it again. Leave overnight to set, or with a few of these I just left them a couple of hours as I’m impatient! One by one, work out your placement on the wall, hammer in a tack and hang your plate. If you go wrong, take the tack out and hammer it in again, if the hole isn’t too far off the first attempt, no one will know as the plate will cover it 😉 I made three mistakes in this lot! I also carried on mounting the plates round the chimney breast (inspired by @sg.jinteriors - thank you!) but I ran out of discs and still have a few more to add! I’ll post more pics once the discs arrive and I finish 📸
Now I usually say on the end of these projects that #youonlyneedhalfanhour which I guess you could do this in without the glue drying time, it’s quick and easy though and worth a try.
