I love this race for one huge reason, running the bases towards the finish. Funny story, I thought the race ended after full on sprinting these bases but there was actually .2 left to run. Rookie mistake I made 2 years in a row!😂 #racepics#brewerminimarathon
Bloated, hot as hell, and add some humidity to burn the lungs... and clearly my body is capable of more... today hurt... and I FELT so slow! Yet everytime my #mapmyrun announced the split time, I realized I was running faster then usual... by alot! #helpme#imarunner now!
Jag har börjat stretcha bröstkorgen 5-6ggr under dagen (blir direkt stel när jag är stilla för länge) och på både löppasset igår och idag har jag haft en helt annan känsla. Känner mig lätt och snabb i steget 🏃🏼♀️💨!! Jag vet ännu inte om det har ett samband men det var länge sedan jag kände såhär. It’s official now, all registered for my first marathon run.🏃🏻♀️ Running is not something I was ever interested in. Different times in my life i would try it and hurt myself and it was NOT enjoyable.😳 Then last year I decided to try it again. But this time I was going to learn to run properly and figured being in better shape might help me.
I remember starting to run 1-2 minutes, huffing and puffing, couldn’t talk, my body was roaring to stop.....I said to my running partner, how does anyone ever get used to this???!!🤷♀️😳 But as we progressed and showed up it happened....we ran longer, we ran faster and we found our pace and our breath.
If you are persistent, you will get there. If you are consistent you will keep it. These are the keys to success in pretty much anything we want to tackle in life.

#RoadTo50k - I ran 24miles. I can barely believe it, I mean yeah I believe it. The way my feet and ankle feels, i definitely believe it. But 24 miles? Me? Joalby? Today's Long Run called for 24miles. Cut it close & after running 24, I jumped in my car & drove straight to @TheMovementSpaceSD for Athlete's Yoga.
Just 3months ago, my Long Runs were 9miles. This whole Road to 50k Journey, which I've lovingly decided to name "From Extra to Ultra", has shown me so much of what I'm capable of & I'm forever blessed to have so many amazing people as part of my journey. Love you all. Find something you think is unattainable and prove to yourself that you have it in you.
Just me... doing the homework exercises the doc assigned to me to strengthen my injured 🤕 muscle... This is one of them. Join me on my journey to strengthen my gluteus medius muscle back to full strength so I can run again! I’ll post another one tomorrow 👍🏽 😂
