So often I hear “I don’t have room to workout” or “ there isn’t enough space in my tiny apartment to workout.” Just because you don’t have a home gym doesn’t mean you can’t have an amazing workout at home! 🏋🏼♀️🏋🏻♂️🏡🏢 Most days, I use my daughters playroom as my home gym. I simply push things out of the way. Walla! Now I have plenty of room to do the cardio workouts I’m currently doing. And these workouts require agility markers.
If there’s a will, there’s a way! Use what you have and make it work! Don’t let the space be the excuse not to reach you health and fitness goals.

Speaking from experience, I feel this to be true. As individuals we tend to forget our own value and put others before ourselves far too often. Please remember it is not selfish to practice self care! Losing someone close to us is a very difficult thing to experience, but losing ourselves is truly so much worse! I have done this too many times. I recently found myself going down that path again. This time I recognized what was happening and I stopped myself in my tracks. I refuse to lose sight of putting myself first again. By keeping my personal goals and self care in sight at all times I am even better able to serve my loved ones and my clients. If somewhere down the path I lose a loved one, it will inevitably hurt, but it will hurt less if I have kept my relationship with myself strong, loving and flexible. Having compassion involves a desire to help, to meet people where they are, to respond from the heart - especially when there is pain. Compassionate people notice the hurt in others and they show up when it matters most. .
Self Compassion is about extending the same kindness and understanding to yourself that you would typically offer to a close friend or loved one. .
This may require a little practice. It may not feel natural at first to comfort yourself when you’ve made a mistake or when you don’t feel like you’ve met your own self imposed standards, but that’s when you need it the most. .
How might you offer some compassion to yourself today? How might you refrain from judgment or being critical of yourself and pause to ask “what’s good for ME in this moment”? .

Inversions have so many benefits emotionally and physically. There are some very important aspects to consider to ensure a safe practice. Ensure your index and middle fingers are facing forward, with your arms placed about shoulder width apart. This helps with balance and allows you to suck your stomach in, pull the rib cage up and breathe normally, protecting your spine and wrists. Lock your arms with your armpits smiling forward and relax your neck and head at all times to elongate the spine. Tighten all muscles for stability. Find your balance through the fingers and shift your body slightly to maintain your handstand.

About last night....
Women connected. I am so very grateful for each woman in our tribe. We shared an awesome dinner & great vibes, but more importantly we covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Last night we set aside time to evaluate semiannual progress, celebrate successes, discuss lessons learned, prioritize for the remainder of the year and made plans to move forward. 💜 .

Your experience may be different, 🙏🏽 but my experience has been that I spent a lot of time with groups that were well intentioned, but spent more time on social conversations than purpose or the group was designed to generate leads rather that personal and professional growth. .

I’m so glad I decided to take a step in the right direction to control not only my physical health but my mental health as well. It takes hard work and commitment, and maybe it means I skip my favorite tv show on Netflix and instead push play on my Netflix of workouts but I know I need it for a better, happier me. “Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step.”
Over three years ago I replaced my two small pots of coffee with one cup of these three products.
Today I'm still loving my hot tea while in my cold cubicle. I acknowledge that this was once my dream. It was my dream to decorate a cubicle, have organized tasks, be a part of a company that helps rather than hinders. And they're all complete!! Now my dream is to sip this tea at my own counter top, or off my patio overlooking the ocean, while I become an effective and impactful leader.

Boyyyyy let me tell you!!! On the left I was broke. Not just financially but spiritually, emotionally, and damn near physically. The catch though is that I was healing at the same time.
Fast forward three years later and I'm not only thriving in my healing but I'm able to intentionally build myself.
I see these two pictures and I'm so grateful for this journey. It's a bitch, don't get me wrong. I really wish I lost weight fast and easy. But that wouldn't make me the woman I am today.
When I tell you that I fight for this on a daily basis, I mean it! I am creating a lifestyle that I never want to vacation from.
This means my results come slower than the rest. What it also means is that I don't deprive myself of cravings or desires. I'm out here building my body while experiencing all that this life has to offer. I couldn't be happier, healthier, or more grateful than I am now.
The best part is that I challenge myself to be more every day. So in a year, when I see this post, I will be able to say that I'm even happier, healthier, and more grateful than what I am today. ☺️ and for that opportunity I truly am blessed! 💚
It’s our last month of the summer and that soon means back to school. I know for me, summer is a free for all as far as schedules and routines go and even my workouts and nutrition haven’t been 100%. But, it’s never too late to start fresh!
On 8/13 my next group will start and we’ll be heading into the school year healthier than ever!
We’ll be focusing on:

🌱drinking our superfoods shake daily 👯♀️supporting and motivating other women in a safe, private group 🍕following a “lifestyle friendly” meal plan
