As a digital-based professional I see stories and messages that teach me something every day on social media. Sometimes I double tap, sometimes I comment, sometimes I share. But sometimes I say nothing at all, then turn around and tell a friend about it later. Or Google something related to try to learn more.
Keep telling your story the truest way you know how. You really just never know. 💛
Who out there is Afraid???🙄
Afraid to Be You, Afraid of conflict, Afraid to speak your truth,Afraid of judgement, Afraid your not good enough, Afraid to take action, Afraid to do the one thing your heart is calling You to do, etc.....🤔
I know I am afraid of all of these🙄 But I also know I am making up a story in my head that is holding me back😒
Do You make stories up in your head???? And be truthful,we all do😏 See it is these stories that gets us in trouble and holds us back because we believe them to be true😣
So I am here to encourage You and myself that we need to get out of our heads and stop believing those stories, because they are not true and they are only holding us back from truly Be Us and living out our Purpose and Dreams❤️ Say with me "I will not Be Afraid" ❤️🙏 #beyou#encouragement#afraid#stories#s2lighthouse#truth#getoutofyourhead#motivation#inspireothers#believe#life#purpose#shareyourlight#yourstory
Spiral up. ✨
I’ve been reading Body Kindness by @rebeccascritchfield and have been gravitating towards her idea of “spiraling up.” No matter the situation you are in, how can you open up to it? How can you make a choice that expands you? One that you can learn from? This builds positive emotions which can be contagious within ourselves, if we let the emotions in.
Body positivity can seem like an unrealistic expectation, but slowly working towards body kindness can feel more doable. Let’s critically challenge the beauty standard together. #resilienceondraft#makeyourchoice#learnfromthehardstuff#bodykindness 📸 @nietophotography
👥 TAG a friend or fellow parent for some Monday Motivation. Some “parenting” thoughts below:
This video has been around for awhile, but I just love watching it. As a father of 4 myself, there is NOTHING better than watching your child push through failure and finding success. It’s certainly tough to watch our children struggle and there is always that want to just “give it to them” to see them happy. But that’s not what parenting is about (IMO). They need to experience failure. They need to understand what hard work truly is. What is means to actually EARN something. Some may disagree. But I am not and will not be a participation trophy parent.
...and that's a wrap @britishfilminstitute London Film Festival 2018!! What an amazing experience attending informative & insightful industry panel discussions. Watching great new movies which tackled challenging & important issues. Meeting established industry figures. Shaking the hand of an Oscar winner. Learning about industry plans to tackle the barriers to entry for working class filmmakers & new talent training initiates. Networking with fellow filmmakers and finding potential new collaborators. Getting genuine advice & guidance about UK film production. And finally, coming away with the confidence that my focus and vision for filmmaking is absolutely spot on, and that I should keep hustling because my passion to influence & inspire positive change in the world by telling personal stories that engage an audience, is worth fighting for.
You never quite know how these things will play out, but it was a truly life changing experience that I can now confidently build on. 2019 is looking very exciting for @gobigpictures already... You absolutely have to believe that you are good enough & to keep fighting to make a difference in the world by influencing & inspiring others with your story.
Thanks to @bindleroadpictures for encouraging me to attend & hanging out during the festival 🙏
God saved me from what could have been, a terrible armed robbery attack, while on my way to work some weeks ago.
The robber had a gun, smashed my car window, but thank God for the blood of Jesus (which I kept screaming), he couldn’t harm me.
This horrific experience gave me a fresh revelation of the blood of Jesus and the assurance of God’s abiding presence with us.
