Sit back, relax and unaind with a Mediterranea Gin Tonic. You deserve it. 😉
Halved figs for an appealing garnish
#gintonic as an alternative to the #winewednesday
When life (aka Winter Storm Toby) gives you lemons in the form of canceling your flight to Barbados with no rescheduling in sight, and it's Whiskey Wednesday, you make a snow cocktail!
This Old Fashioned riff stirs 3 oz. Glendalough Double Barrel Irish Whiskey (aged first in Bourbon then finished in Oloroso Sherry casks) with 1 tsp. Crown Dark Color Maple Syrup and a few dashes of spicy Dashfire Old Fashioned Bitters, poured over a freshly packed snowball (and this is really good packing snow!) and garnished with a lemon peel.
“Some Like it Hot”
Hot hot hot! Maybe we didn’t need the Ancho Reyes— ingredients below — as the jam we selected did not hold back on the spice. But, the amazing part, most of the spice comes forward right away, finishing very smooth, Mango and sweet. Sure, there is some lingering spice left on the tongue, but not enough to make one sweat. The final concoction was so good, you will be drinking too fast to notice anyway. The egg white may also be unnecessary, as the jam is more than capable of smoothing out the Mezcal smoke 💨
