Pleasure & Happiness are not synonymous. Pleasure cannot be sustained beyond the experience producing it. Happiness can. And all too often, long-term misery comes disguised as short-term pleasure. Some may say that binge watching Netflix and ordering takeout will bring happiness. But they would be confusing pleasure for real & lasting happiness. What about the times you didn’t feel like being productive, or working out, or eating healthy, or having that tough conversation. The sense of satisfaction that comes from doing the right thing lasts long after the deed is done. That is happiness.

Sometimes you need to break down to build yourself back up again. So, what’s the next adventure? What’s something you thought you’d never be? Do it- become what you didn’t think you could become- change, evolve, improve... Because, why not? Life is short, if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will. #believeinyourself#followyourdreams#onedayatatime

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
Day 2 of #yogasutram is #wildthingpose or #camatkarasana. The pose is fairly new to me, in fact it was something that I came to know through Instagram. Like Natrajasana, this is also a heart opening poses. These poses are associated with 'Aishwarya bhav' for me and help me in releasing any pent up emotions
Moving on to the Yoga Sutra under discussion 1.14 - "sa tu dirgha Kala nirantarya satkarsevito drdha bhumih". It means that ground becomes firm by long, constant efforts
with great love (for the end to be attained). Restraint does not come in one day, but by long continued
I would like to believe that I have a solid yoga practice, but there is always scope for improvement. I am seeking to further ground it by making lifestyle changes. So far I was more focused on the physical aspect but to embrace the mental and spiritual changes one needs to give up certain things (like late nighters, alcohol, tamsic food). Now I think, I am ready for it.
So far I used to practice what I was comfortable with. But that also has unknowingly prepared me for the advanced asanas. The asanas that I never imagined I could do came naturally to me, and I would give the credit to my consistency. But now to take the practice to next level, I have started making goals for myself. And improvement in self is eternal! So cheers to the long and eventful journey of yoga 😍🙏🧘 Hosts
